Overview
Your role will involve continuous optimization by implementing techniques such as distillation and fine-tuning of LLMs, ensuring the highest standards of quality, tone, and style. You will also establish and refine evaluation metrics, prioritizing quality, speed and efficiency. You will also be responsible for driving safe responses by defining sets, metrics, and protections, and collaborating with Responsible AI (RAI) and Safety teams to ensure compliance.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics predictive analytics, research)
- OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
- OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience shipping ML models on scale.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with LLM fine tuning and distillation.
- Experience or understanding of ethical considerations and best practices in AI development with a commitment to championing Responsible AI principles.
- Experience working in a research environment.
Applied Sciences IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.

Responsibilities
- Partner with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of scenarios driving projects from design through implementation, experimentation and finally shipping to our users.
- Lead identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for the Advertiser Agent product, application, service, or platform.
- Lead by example and mentors others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across products.
- Lead project initiatives by setting clear goals and timelines, assuming ownership, and orchestrating collaborative efforts with stakeholders: PMs, designers and client teams, to craft top-tier AI systems that bring delight to end users through seamless delivery.
- Thrive on addressing complex challenges and adapting to emerging technologies and innovations in AI, making significant contributions to project outcomes.
- Contribute to academic and industry discourse by publishing papers, participating in conferences, and serving as a representative of Agentic AI innovation.
