Microsoft Security organization is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Security Risk & Compliance with a focus on risk governance and process optimization. This position is responsible for the management of enterprise-scale compliance, risk, and operational business process and programs. This role will drive us to increase our security posture through our risk management practices, and ensure we meet our regulatory compliance requirements for security across the Microsoft enterprise.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, risk management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, risk management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.

Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ownership and management of risk governance forum, collaborating with key stakeholders, and facilitating critical conversations allowing for actionable path forward on mitigation strategies.
  • Planning, implementing, and overseeing execution of risk management processes, including optimization of those processes. Improving governance practices for risk and compliance security practices while enabling product teams to move with pace and quality.
  • Coordinating across the Microsoft enterprise with other teams on the implementation of risk management and compliance programs, including with other program leaders.
  • Scaling as-is processes for increased coverage, quality, speed, and output by identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency and how technology (e.g., generative AI) can be used to improve our services.
