Overview

As a Commercial Executive, your ability to forge and nurture professional relationships in a fast-paced, high value sales environment will be paramount to making an impact. You will be motivated by understanding client needs, collaborating with business leaders, and engaging stakeholders to agree multimillion dollar solutions for enterprise customers who are transforming their organisations.

Your appreciation for the art of relationship management, understanding of customer strategies, and adeptness at constructing commercial agreements across technology solution areas will position you as a principal negotiator, at the core of securing deals with our customers.

This role demands a robust business acumen, an understanding of business operations, and the foresight to anticipate future industry trends and challenges. A keen sense of business analysis is crucial, enabling you to discern business requirements and craft effective solutions. The technical nature of the business, its industry relevance, and competitive positioning must be well-understood to navigate the market effectively and land deals that will shape how an organisation operates for years to come.

Qualifications

  • Experience negotiating deals as an account manager or in a sales role
  • Regular interaction with executive level decision-makers
  • Experience working within enterprise scale organisations
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing, Finance (or equivalent) OR equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the designing of deals that enable the company to accelerate the business and acting as a trusted advisor to determine how commercial deals should be designed to best meet customer needs. Leverage a deep understanding of customer strategies and constructing commercial agreements across different solution areas.
  • Define, negotiate complex commercial terms and lead the strategy for the negotiation approach by engaging with stakeholders externally and internally. Act as the lead negotiator to secure successful deals with customers.
  • Provides strategic direction to business stakeholders in order to achieve revenue targets.
  • Leverages expertise of customer business needs and desired outcomes to achieve revenue goals using ethical selling methods. Proactively identifies and evaluates business opportunities which vary based on deal lifecycle and artificial intelligence.
  • Leads sales and management teams through sales process optimizing for the right level of investment and customization. Lead and handle deal escalation strategies and tactics as necessary.
  • Drives adherence to commercial solutions policy for commercial deal execution, inclusive of regulatory laws and principles in local markets, company policies, and guidance for consistent deal making.
  • Leverages knowledge of best practices and strategies to accomplish goals.
  • Partners with customer/partner support/account teams to ensure value is delivered during lifecycle management planning and ensure that all teams are aligned on customer/partner priorities, strategies, and budget to better structure deals that drive annuity and cloud growth.
