Overview
As the Enterprise Finance Manager, you will be partnering with the Enterprise Operation Unit consisting in the Enterprise, Public Sector and Solution Sales Leaders and their respective teams in Belux to provide insights that help lead the organization towards their short- and long-term goals.
The goal of the Belux Finance team is to provide key insights that help Microsoft make better financial and business decisions. Our team is at the hub of Microsoft's financial activities, being a key strategic partner to all sides of the business and serving a diverse set of stakeholders Segment Sales Leaders, local CFO, Western Europe Finance, and sales andmarketing teams (Pricing, Compliance, Licensing). In this role you will be required to build strong relationships with the Sales side of our business, covering all Solution Areas. You must be commercially savy and have the ability to
influence key stakeholders on shaping profitable deals for Microsoft and have a good understanding of various investment
tools at your disposal. Strong understanding of value selling is a plus, as well as experience from industries outside IT.
Qualifications
Minimum required qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
OR
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
Experience in Forecasting, P&L Analysis across multiple lines of business; Demonstrated experience in Matrix Organizations at Leadership level
Responsibilities
Prioritize
- Performs and reviews analysis of present and future financial performance, financial plans
(e.g., expected returns, resource allocation, pricing, investment opportunities) and economic
transactions (e.g., customer deals, commercial partnerships, acquisitions, etc.). Prepares and
summarizes recommendations.
- Works directly with business partners to translate top-down targets to an accountable
budget for each group. Completes and reviews analysis, modeling, and research to support
preliminary and adjusted forecast cycles. Partners and solicits insight from business and
commercial stakeholders.
- Delivers results through tracking performance, report accuracy, and partnering with
business leaders to ensure execution of plans and accountability for results. Manages the
rhythm of the business for area of responsibility including monthly close, recurring business
review preparation, and budgeting. Generates relevant and actionable insights to drive the
business forward.
- Develops and leverages relationships with customers and partners to bolster sales, and to
understand and manage business risk. Collects customer feedback data and applies data
analysis techniques to improve customer experience. Builds strong relationships with
customers at senior levels. Designs and negotiates solutions to complex financial issues with
customers. Engages with customers and partners on their wider relationships with Microsoft. Serves as advocate for Microsoft and its customers. Understands customers' businesses to plan growth. Manages balance between customer centricity, enablement of sales, and cost effectiveness
Partnership
- Provides business insights and recommendations to peers and stakeholders to achieve revenue and profitability goals (e.g., resource allocation, cost optimization, revenue generation) and drive shareholder return. Collaborates with business leaders to define action plans for financial and business analysis findings. Ensures the business partner perspective is understood and prioritized by less experienced employees.
- Applies advanced understanding of Microsoft Finance and business (e.g., monetization strategy, market, key drivers, revenue channels, advanced technology, and business partner work context), as well as external factors, to multiple situations to evaluate results and analysis. Maintains working knowledge of Microsoft financial systems, policies, and processes to evaluate potential impacts of changes, and drive improvements in efficiency and accuracy. Coaches others to understand the business and drivers of key metrics.
- Contributes to new and unconventional methods and approaches to data collection, analysis, interpretation, and financial models. Provides advice and direction to teammates and peers on data management and operations.
- Leverages latest set of tools (business intelligence, predictive analytics, etc.) to drive assessment and dialogue around business forecast and growth strategies. Leads efforts to optimize report performance and automation.
- Coaches team to translate data into a simplified engaging message with actionable insights. Facilitates a shared understanding and awareness of business partner situation.
Protect
- Drives the right tone from executive leadership and ensures strict adherence and understanding of Microsoft policies on risk and compliance. Influences leadership to ensure compliance is a top priority and modeled throughout the organization. Drives a compliant culture through actions and decisions to instill trust. Advocates, educates, and promotes best practices and new developments. Encourages asking questions and identifying risks to compliance. Champions Microsoft privacy, security, and ethical standards. Advances key compliance initiatives.
