Microsoft is leading the way into the growth of High-Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence. Recently Microsoft has announced Cobalt and Maia Custom Silicon for Azure Data Center and AI. Microsoft Silicon Engineering is pushing technology hard in all areas including advanced packaging technology. We are looking for candidates with strong technical experience in the area of HPC/AI/GPU/CPU ATE Test Content (Digital and/or Analog), failure analysis and fault isolation, product RMA execution and dispositioning, test hole resolution, ATE test bring up, silicon characterization and system-to-tester correlation.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in High-Speed Digital and Mixed signal Test Engineering, preferably in 93K SMT8 Advantest platform.
• Strong written and verbal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in high-speed Analog & Digital test methodologies and related ATE test and debugging experience
• Knowledge of high-speed serial IO test and characterization (i.e. PCIe, Die2Die communication)
• Detailed understanding of product manufacturing flow, PVT characterization, Silicon debug, yield improvement.
• Understanding of and experience with DFT and DFM. Experience with digital test techniques such as scan, MBIST, and loopback.
• Experience with ATE hardware development, Knowledge of PCB design requirements and layout best practices for high-speed signaling and HW debugging.
• Knowledgeable in production control processes, statistical analysis platforms (Galaxy, JMP or similar), Cp/Cpk, GRR and bench/tester correlation.
• Working Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PERL, and Tcl/Tk

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

• You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative product solutions for Test Chips.
• You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and third-party suppliers to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and optimization.
• The position will have responsibility for understanding and developing test methodology, ATE test methods characterization, and production test programs for Test Chips and custom SoCs.
• This will include test vector generation and conversion, test program validation pre-silicon and post silicon enabling on a complex Mixed signal devices & SOC’s.
• Ownership of complete wafer and package level ATE test hardware and software development & bring up test programs by completing necessary correlation analysis.
• Analyzing test data to identify test program or silicon issues and working with cross functional teams to root cause will also be a focus
• Part of a larger team that correlates test solution to lab/OSAT/customer platform to validate silicon design, process, package, and manufacturability to product specifications.
• Knowledge of platform, package, and silicon power management and thermal is a plus and the ability to connect the dots will help in addressing any product quality issues.
• Knowledge of system and/or bench level test is a plus
