As a Marketing Data Analyst Intern you will

  • support marketing strategy and program development to increase consideration and conversion of Microsoft products and services through partners to contribute to sell-through and meet overall business objectives.
  • develop data-driven knowledge of partner performance and marketing and leverage partner/consumer centred data to make sound marketing investment and planning decisions.
  • work with Channel Marketing team to develop analytical capabilities and uncover data-led opportunities to optimize marketing campaign investment and effectiveness.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Communications, Economics, Econometrics, or related field.
  • Prior experience with data analytics (e.g. Power BI, SQL), data models, performance marketing and marketing mix modelling.
  • Legally authorized to work in Germany (Legally authorized = Has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit).

  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in German.

Responsibilities

Development and implementation of marketing analytics: Develop and implement integrated marketing analytics aligned with targeted business outcomes for a specific business area. Coordinate with local teams, including Marketing, Sales, Category, Finance, and Business Operations to establish appropriate measures, analyses and insights to support marketing campaigns. Develop actionable performance insights to inform current and future marketing campaigns.

Data Analytics and Reporting: Contribute to the delivery of channel marketing plans by providing detailed reports and analyses of customer & sales metrics. Assist in creating reports and analyses to identify opportunities for improving marketing campaigns. Collaborate with EMEA and WW stakeholders to connect partner insights, marketing investments, and programs.

Performance Analysis: Read and interpret marketing performance and marketing spend reports, using analytical knowledge to extract insights from data. Interpret business implications of results and report findings to stakeholders. Perform and guide analyses to generate insights that address identified business questions.

Data-Driven Insights: Provide data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategy and delivery. Take action based on insights from corporate data, incorporating inclusive marketing and accessibility principles, best practices, and tools in the execution of marketing initiatives.

Stakeholder Coordination: Assist with orchestrating and completing work needed across local stakeholders. Track marketing-related spending against planned estimates and other relevant performance marketing metrics. Ensure event or campaign delivery is consistent with the marketing plan. Review marketing activities.

Marketing Execution: Execute standardized, scalable, compliant, and efficient marketing execution by leveraging global capabilities, engines, and tools in partnership with stakeholders.
