We are looking for a skilled Senior Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Azure Landing Zones, networking, governance, and infrastructure as code. This role is ideal for a technical consultant who thrives in client-facing scenarios, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about delivering scalable, secure, and modern Azure solutions that meet real business needs.

You’ll work closely with enterprise customers to assess environments, design cloud solutions, and implement Azure architectures in alignment with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Techology consulting, infrastructure engineering, or cloud environments.
  • Solid experience in designing and implementing Azure solutions at the enterprise level.
  • Deep understanding of Azure core infrastructure services, networking, identity, and governance.
  • Practical experience with IaC and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure setups.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Associate, or equivalent.
  • Experience working within Defence or Federal government.

This position requires verification of Australian citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports Australian government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Azure infrastructure solutions, including the design and implementation of Azure Landing Zones, architecture, networking, and governance.
  • Deploy and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Azure networking services, including VNet Peering, VPN Gateway, NSGs, App Gateway, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall.
  • Contribute to cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, and execution of workloads into Azure.
  • Implement best practices for security, identity and access management, and monitoring using Azure AD, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
  • Work directly with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with architects and project managers to support delivery and resolve technical challenges.
