We are currently growing our team of business consultant, talent experts, and cultural ambassadors to shape the leadership of our company today and tomorrow.

A Senior Executive Market Aligned Recruiter, Microsoft AI enables and drives our approach to hire critical leadership roles and deepens our knowledge of the dynamic landscape for top talent in the market via both market research and engagement. This individual is well-connected into the external ecosystem and comfortable driving and owning the external sourcing strategy for executive leadership talent within Microsoft. This opportunity will allow you to be innovative in your approach to map and connect with the external marketplace and develop sourcing strategies to target and assess top executive talent for today tomorrow. This role is based in our Mountain View, CA office with an on-site requirement of 3 days per week.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in directly sourcing, mapping, or recruiting research of executive level talent in AI organizations for a global organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role OR Master's Degree AND 8+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft productivity tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, and/or recruiting CRM systems.
  • Proven knowledge of dynamic landscape in the US. Global market knowledge
  • Proven process/systems management, interpersonal, organizational, written, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proven communications skills and relationship management capabilities.
  • Expertise in the following areas: Strategic Insight, Influencing for Impact, Judgment, Cross Boundary Collaboration, Negotiation, and Systems Thinking
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and candidate tracking systems is required.

Talent Acquisition IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of a short- and long-term hiring plan for complex organizations, areas, or talent pools for our Engineering organizations such as AI, Security, Data Centers, etc.
  • Partner closely with executives, HR, and your colleagues to determine the current and future executive Talent Acquisition needs, talent gaps, and advise on market availability to ensure the right hire is made at the right time.
  • Provide quality external talent maps, build and maintain compete strategies, and provide education on market realities
  • Engage and prepare candidates for the hiring process while proactively identifying factors that may adversely affect them. You’ll also create an innovative sourcing strategy, including ways to generate differentiated talent for a division, set of countries, or subsidiaries.
  • Partner with your colleagues to manage the candidate assessment framework and screening process, while identifying shared practices for both. You’ll also maintain candidates’ qualifications and status in the appropriate systems, and lead the optimization of staffing policies throughout the organization.
  • Move high-level candidates through the hiring process while ensuring their needs are met and driving solutions that balance the client’s needs. You’ll also present businesses with broad talent gaps and hiring needs, and market and channel insights to drive hiring plans.
