We are looking for a detail oriented and financial wizard to join our team as the WWL Finance Manager. In this role, you will support the Corporate Vice President and the rest of WWL to ensure that we are tightly managing our budget and headcount resources to maximize impact. You’ll work closely with a Corporate Vice President (CVP), business managers and the Finance Business Partner to manage fiscal planning, budget oversight, quarterly forecasting and open headcount.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience of cross collaboration working with others to complete annual financial planning (forecasting, budgeting, headcount management, etc.)

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 5+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and financial planning tools
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed organization is a plus
  • Demonstrates commitment to career development and continuous or consistent learning through formal and informal efforts (e.g., change management, design thinking, management training, online courses). Microsoft Fundamentals, Coaching (e.g., International Coaching Federation), Project and/or Program Management Professional, or a similar certificate.
Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Fiscal Planning & Budgeting: Partner with the CVP to define annual financial targets and lead the fiscal year budgeting process.
  • Manage Forecasting & Financial Health: Oversee quarterly forecasting and monthly budget reviews. Provide insights and recommendations to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Drive Headcount Planning: Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) to manage headcount planning and monthly reconciliation. Track open roles and partner with business managers and the Leadership Team to accelerate hiring and ensure alignment with business needs; own and maintain the financial hierarchy for the organization.
  • Enable Operational Excellence: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial visibility, accuracy, and agility.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with other business managers and the Finance Business Partner to ensure consistency and rigor in financial management across the organization.
  • Partner with procurement: Champion the use of preferred procurement tools and channels, identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, and support supplier strategy development aligned with corporate sustainability and diversity goals; ensure purchasing activities are compliant with Microsoft’s Procurement Policy and SAFE (Spend Authorization for Expenditures) guidelines.
