We’re looking for an experienced communicator to lead employee communications in China. The Employee Communications Lead will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans, messaging, creative content, and storytelling to inform, engage, and empower our employees in China. Reporting to the Head of Communications Microsoft China, this role is part of the Global Media Relations Organization and operates in partnership with the Executive Communications leads in the China leadership team. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to support business goals and foster a positive work environment.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of communications experience, either in-house or agency.
- Proven experience in internal communications, communications, program management, or related experience, preferably in a multinational organization.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both Chinese and English.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field and 10 years of Communications, Marketing, or related experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.
- Experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
- Digital content creation capability is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and ensure consistent messaging across all organizations in Microsoft China.
- Elevate employee understanding and connection to Microsoft’s strategic priorities, while enhancing and enabling company culture.
- Launch internal communications programs that help employees understand the goals, programs, processes, new ways of working, and vision of senior leadership.
- Support the delivery of internal communications plans by developing strategies that can be introduced across the region on company-wide organizational priorities and flagship programs.
- Manage internal digital channels, including the intranet, internal community platform (Viva Engage), and digital signage.
- Develop content for internal channels and platforms, including organization announcements, intranet articles, internal social platform posts, and executive presentations.
- Plan, support and execute internal events, including All Hands, AMAs, Town Halls, and other employee engagement events.
- Support the roll-out of communication and engagement strategies that maximize Microsoft’s sponsorships and social impact initiatives for employee participation.
- Acting as a trusted advisor, promote and educate internal stakeholders and the regional communications team on process and employee communication best practices.
- Manage an ongoing internal communications calendar and campaign reports.
