Overview

Are you a sales leader passionate about empowering Education (Kindergarten to Year 12) customers to transform learning through AI and cloud technologies? As the Senior Sales Manager – ATU, you will lead a high-performing, customer-obsessed team to drive digital transformation across the K–12 education sector. You’ll guide your team to engage with K–12 education customers, align on strategic priorities, and accelerate adoption of Microsoft solutions.

This role demands strong industry insight, inclusive leadership, and the ability to inspire change through storytelling and innovation. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams, build trusted CXO relationships, and scale impact through our partner ecosystem. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in or with the K–12 education sector.
  • Master's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 7+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing or leadership roles in large organisations.
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing or leadership roles in large organisations.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years direct people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 10+ years in sales leadership roles, including 5+ years managing teams.
  • Ideally with basic business proficiency in additional languages like Korean, Japanese, Mandarin

  • Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and customer obsession.
  • Empower team members through modelling, coaching, and caring.

  • Drive clarity of roles, expectations, and performance standards.
  • Lead talent acquisition, succession planning, and change management initiatives.

Customer and Partner Engagement

  • Act as executive sponsor for key education customers, building trusted relationships with CXO-level stakeholders.
  • Guide teams to uncover customer priorities and co-develop roadmaps for transformation.
  • Champion the voice of the customer internally, ensuring insights inform strategy and execution.
  • Drive partner engagement to scale solutions and deliver integrated value.
  • Support teams in delivering value-added conversations using storytelling and industry insights.

Business Excellence

  • Lead territory and account planning, ensuring disciplined pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Orchestrate resources across sales and specialist teams to deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Drive renewals and growth through creative deal structuring and proactive engagement.
  • Ensure compliance, conduct win/loss reviews, and continuously improve execution.
  • Set clear expectations for sales strategy, pipeline health, and business rhythm.

Thought Leadership and Cultural Transformation

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to education leaders, positioning Microsoft as a strategic partner.
  • Deliver compelling narratives and business cases that accelerate decision-making.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.
  • Represent Microsoft in the education community, sharing insights and best practices.

Product and Solution Expertise

  • Stay current on Microsoft’s education solutions, AI capabilities, and industry trends.
  • Drive team readiness through structured learning plans and certifications.
  • Lead skills initiatives and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Share best practices and scale knowledge across teams.
  • Hold self and team accountable for personal development plans and training completion.
