Overview

The Microsoft Store on Windows is the app store on over a billion PCs around the world - with over 250 million customers visiting monthly to get best-in-class apps and games for their PCs. Microsoft Store is hiring a Senior Content Program Manager to help us reach customers where they are and to build quintessential experiences to shape their perceptions of Windows and Microsoft.

As a Senior Content Program Manager, your role will be to own the in-product marketing for all apps in the Store on Windows, showcasing the best of all our 1P and 3P partners around the world. You will have the opportunity to partner across teams (product management, engineering, e-commerce) to tailor in-product experiences for users, with the goal of maximizing engagement. You'll leverage your business acumen to build product priorities and execute those with a vendor team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in program management, digital content publishing/management, or experience in a writing or editing role
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing vendor teams.
  • Experience building in-product messaging to grow usage or engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in program management, digital content publishing/management, or experience in a writing or editing role
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years recent experience with digital publishing modalities (e.g., Web, social media, in-product, training, online ads).
  • 1+ year(s) experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

Content Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the apps content experience in the Microsoft Store on Windows for all regions.
  • Identify improvements in the content experience and development processes, and measure business impact.
  • Define the improvement of procedures to enhance productivity.
  • Influence partner engagements while helping develop an overall plan for ongoing partner content merchandising.
  • Equip partner-facing stakeholders with relevant information, analyze how partners adapt to content requirements, and lead opportunities to improve this process.
  • Identify cultural, industry, and competitive trends, and their impact on content publishing and customer experience.
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and thought leadership insights across teams, and drive innovation efforts for your space.
  • Manage execution, negotiate deadlines and deliverables, prioritize work, and measure effectiveness with a vendor team.
  • Identify collaborative opportunities and key stakeholders within/across teams.
