Overview
The Americas Global Partner Solutions (Americas GPS) Services team is made of Partner Development Managers (PDMs) who work across our Go-To-Market (GTM), Sell-With (SW), and Technical teams to help our managed partners drive joint success with our customers. Our team is responsible for driving consumed and billed revenue accountability across our field Operating Units (OU’s) within Public Sector, Enterprise Commercial and Small Mid-Market Corporate (SMC) & Digital Sales.
We are looking to hire a Business Manager (BM) to work closely with the Vice President of the Services organization, and Executive Admin, and the extended team members and stakeholders to ensure the efficient operations of the Services organization.
The Services team helps our managed partners coordinate a consolidated partner business plan (PBP) and then helps execute that plan via the use of investments, programs and resources across GPS and our segment teams. We leverage co-selling resources, aligned to our Partner Field Integration (PFI) framework, to help our partners sell their co-sell ready and prioritized solutions with our Microsoft sales teams.
The BM function will lead activities in all aspects of strategy development, people governance, compliance, internal communications, and scorecard management. This position requires effective PowerPoint design and readiness, communication and organizational skills due to cross-group coordination, volume of demands and the high impact work on short deadlines.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of global enterprise experience in any combination of the following: strategy and operations management, people governance, compliance, internal communications, Profit & Loss experience, scorecard management, or related.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
- OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 12+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
- OR equivalent experience.
- Previous experience as business manager or Chief of Staff with multi-disciplinary enterprise and corporate segment business management experience.
- Effective organizational, analytical, problem resolution and decision-making skills Accomplished in team building, budgeting, delivering milestones and deadlines.
- Proficient communication skills, including slide concept creation, requirements documents and presentation-building and delivery
- Ability to build positive working relationships across senior leadership teams and work effectively in a loosely structured team environment that demands a high degree of cooperation, flexibility, teaming, cross group and real-time responsiveness
- Effective project management and negotiation skills while working within established business priorities and constraints.
Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities
- Take a proactive role in running the office of VP and ensure we are adequately prepared and meeting the demands of all key stakeholders and the needs of our organization.
- Drive all aspects of team communications
- Plan and prepare content for speeches/communications e.g. All-Teams, LT meetings, Cross-groups presentations, Partner Meetings, Key Notes, Videos, Conferences, etc.
- Lead and own the agendas for the following: Leadership Meetings, All Teams and Leadership Strategy off-sites.
- Plan and coordinate internal Executive Visits, as well as customer and partner sponsor meetings and follow up
- Be the “Champ” and own completion of organizational initiatives such as FastStart, Controls and Compliance activities and People activities before the required deadline
- Execute rhythm of the business and ensure we are executing with excellence & organize all the notes / actions / outcomes with appropriate follow-up
- Manage Opex and Headcount budgets working closely with Finance, to make investment recommendations to the LT and track progress.
- Owning and leading successful implementation and delivery of the people plan, holding LT and v-teams accountable for meeting expectations set throughout the year
- Run specific projects and take ownership for pulling together the right team and being clear about the desired outcomes, execution plan for that team.
- Be the “objective voice of reason” for the VP and Leadership team and enable the individual leaders to consider and drive the bigger picture in addition to individual team priorities
