Overview

The Business & Industry Copilots (BIC) organization is experiencing rapid growth and oversees the Microsoft Dynamics 365 suite of products, Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and more. As a leader in Software as a Service for business applications, this group represents the core of how these solutions are conceptualized, designed, and delivered.

We are looking for a Senior Business Program Manager to join our team.

This role will be at the forefront of orchestrating impactful digital and in-person events that showcase Dynamics 365, Copilot Studio and Power Platform. You will drive the strategic planning and execution of events, manage resources effectively, and create memorable experiences. Your expertise in managing events will make sure that Microsoft has a positive impact at events around the world and support our growth objectives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as an event manager on a global scale.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in community building and social media engagement.
  • Experience with technology marketing.
  • Experience managing a team of vendors.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft’s ecosystem and partner networks.

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an event tiering strategy to determine event selection, prioritization, and resource allocation per event.
  • Lead the event planning and execution process for digital and in-person events.
  • Develop the event content and messaging strategy.
  • Create marketing campaigns and demand generation strategies.
  • Orchestrate all event workstreams, ensuring seamless coordination and communication across teams.
  • Run internal and external communications related to events, keeping all relevant parties informed and engaged.
  • Coordinate in-person presence at events, including the selection of swag items, booth design, and on-site activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with third party event organizers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the event budget, ensuring all events are delivered within the allocated financial resources.
  • Define and measure the success of events in alignment with our community growth objectives.
