The Global Media Sales (GMS) Team empowers direct advertisers as well as networked and independent agencies of all sizes around the world to reach their maximum potential through advertising across the Microsoft Advertising ecosystem. We are seeking a top performing Global Agency Manager to maximize growth opportunities, as well as partner cross-segment on digital transformation initiatives to support agencies in delivering differentiated value to their clients.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field AND 10+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry OR 12+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.
  • 4+ years of people management experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field AND 14+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry OR 16+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.
  • Experience leading the commercial deal strategy for Holding Companies and Key Independent Agencies
  • Solid experience in managing remote and geographically dispersed team members.
  • Experience in mobilizing a team around Display/ Native/ Video/ Programmatic/Gaming sales motion highly valued.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to build and communicate a plan with KPIs to stakeholders and partners.
  • Organized and articulate with respect to the ‘development’ side of people management: performance reviews; career planning; training.
  • Consistently models a ‘growth mindset’; embracing continuous learning; challenging the status quo, being brave, owning failures and rapidly iterating.
  • Proven track record as an active and intentional leader in creating a diverse and inclusive culture, where everyone can bring their full and authentic selves; where all voices are heard; and where the team can do their best work as a result.

Partner Account Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 - $222,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,300 - $239,800 per year.

Responsibilities

This global role will lead a team managing Holding Companies and Key Independent Agencies partnerships at Microsoft Advertising. The team works ‘in-service-to’ the Global Sales teams, leveraging senior client relationships to foster local market investment growth; as well as ‘connecting dots’ across Microsoft to support the agencies to realize their digital transformation goals. In detail:

  • Hold accountability for meeting/exceeding functional Search/Display Native Video advertising global revenue targets.
  • Carries global partnership accountability (owns global executive relationships & planning responsibilities) across Agency Groups (Hold Cos and/or Independent Agencies)
  • Holds accountability for and lead strategic & commercial strategies across global agency groups representing MAI/MSA thought leadership, as well as contributing to core GMS initiatives consistently
  • Function in an ‘in-service-to’ capacity with Global Sales, and partner closely with Global Sales leaders across Strategic, Enterprise, Corporate and SMB segments to align on strategy and initiative implementation for Holding Companies and key Independent Agencies.
  • Drive agency adoption for Microsoft Audience Network, including relationship-building beyond existing Search partnerships and into Native/ Display/ Video/ Gaming / Programmatic buying teams.
  • Partner with leaders within other internal functional teams (Marketing, Analytics & Insights, Technical Account Management, Sales Excellence, Global Partner Service, Operations, Finance) to ensure full leverage of available resources/ budgets/ tools etc to drive partnership value.
  • Foster and promote the ‘One Microsoft’ agenda, leveraging the broader Microsoft technology stack to support Holding Companies and key Independent Agencies in driving internal process transformation as well as differentiated value for clients through product innovation.
  • Hold team accountability for an exploration into industry shifts within the media planning and buying eco-system and defining the white space for Microsoft Advertising within these shifts.
  • Steward a team culture of creativity, innovation, accountability, trust and respect where the ‘whole is greater than the sum of the parts’ and the team can do their best work.
  • Contribute to organizational strategy as a member of the Global Agency Development leadership team.
  • Champion AI-driven strategies to elevate agency partnerships, leveraging Microsoft’s cutting-edge advertising and AI solutions to drive innovation, efficiency, and measurable business outcomes
