As the Communications Lead, a core member of the office of the Corporate Vice President of
SME&C Asia you will play a pivotal role in creating clarity, generating energy and delivering success
to 1000 direct and indirect reporting employees in one of the most geographically and culturally
textured environments in the world positioned to accelerate growth. You will also have an
opportunity to work cross-collaboratively while living our shared SME&C Culture priorities: Diverse

You will drive the development and production of communications materials and deployment of
communications tactics, leading and creating communications strategy and planning efforts,
working collaboratively across multiple stakeholders. You will take responsibility for the bill of
materials and ensure alignment to our strategy and adherence to business objectives. You will
conceptualize and develop content to educate, guide, and advise our team, customers, and
partners on communications strategy and tactics, identifying opportunities to enhance Microsoft’s
reputation and perception and develop content accordingly, including correcting inaccuracies
when they occur. Monitoring, tracking and analyzing the impact of and responses to messaging for
a given issue; and creating responsive materials as needed.


This is a strategic individual contributor role with significant influence, ideal for someone who is
passionate about scaling through partnerships and has a strong background in business acumen,
communications, strategic thinking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This
opportunity offers broad exposure across Microsoft’s solution areas and deep insight into both field
sales operations and the partner ecosystem, develop deep business understanding, work with a
CVP and their Leadership team and across the SME&C business in Asia and globally. As
Communications Leader, you have a significant role in shaping and influencing culture within
SME&C Asia.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications,
    Finance, or related field AND 8+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations,
    Program Management, Project Management, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within complex, matrixed organisations, driving alignment and communication across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Extensive experience leading communications initiatives across the Asia region, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances and market dynamics.

Additional or preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8+
    years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management,
    Project Management, or related experience
  • OR bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field
    AND 10+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program
    Management, Project Management, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years' experience supporting senior executives in an executive communications role.
  • 3+ years' experience working with social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • You will focus on critical priority areas as you drive the communications strategy. This will
    involve enhancing thought leadership and contributing to innovative campaigns while
    generating momentum for Microsoft’s offerings.
  • You will lead storytelling across teams while using data and insights to drive storytelling
    opportunities. You’ll also develop and create ideas for collateral materials for use in a
    range of initiatives and events.
  • You will leverage your deep expertise of stakeholders to execute tasks, as well as manage
    and refine expectations and priorities. You’ll also identify opportunities to enhance public
    perception, and lead action to address potential reputation risk issues.
  • You will monitor and analyze the impact of messaging for a given issue, then create
    responses as needed. You’ll also drive strategy by gathering and synthesizing data from
    various sources, as well as by determining which metrics and key performance indicators
    (KPIs) to evaluate.
  • You will drive collaboration with other key stakeholder communitieis including Chief
    Marketing Officer and their teams, External PR Communications Lead and their teams,
    Global SME&C Communications and Strategy teams to produce communications
    materials and tactics, executing across a matrixed organization.
  • You will lead agency teams as needed. You’ll also choose and manage agency
    partnerships.
