Overview

The Xbox Gaming Platform and Players Team is responsible for engaging and retaining our subscribers, and driving monetization to the Xbox ecosystem and platform. We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager who will play a key role in managing and optimizing our engagement and retention playbook and identifying opportunities to drive usage of Xbox Game Pass all gaming endpoints by looking at maximizing Xbox Game Pass engagement for both new and tenured users.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager is innovative, creative, entrepreneurial, detail oriented and is passionate about the growth of gaming, and enabling people to have the best time playing with their Game Pass membership.

This role provides an incredible chance to build marketing acumen, develop end-to-end business leadership skills and drive a significant impact on a flagship service in a fast-changing category. The ideal person enjoys solving problems, using data to develop a deep understanding of their customers, creating innovative marketing programs, and working effectively with cross-functional teams in an environment that is constantly evolving. In this role, you’ll become a vital partner and trusted advisor with many Xbox teams across a wide variety of disciplines. You will be responsible for multiple projects across a variety of areas: developing proposals, executing marketing programs, and tracking their efficacy to identify results and possible areas for adjustment, developing recommendations for further improvement. Additionally, this role requires an ability to build internal relationships and collaborate with cross-discipline teams. Above all, you’ll need to have a strong desire to help drive change and growth in a rapidly evolving industry.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in consumer technology or marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on experience in member engagement and loyalty programs.
  • 3+ years of experience developing marketing campaigns that drive business impact, and managing large amounts of data, including customer segments and online campaign metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree with academic background- business management or marketing
  • Experience managing complex and multi-faceted marketing programs with the ability to drive projects through to completion independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to create effective messaging, strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication (written and verbal) and analytical skills, including a track record of effectively supporting meeting discussions and materials for Director level discussions.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo & drive creative and unique solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment with rapidly changing requirements.
  • Passion for learning and entertainment/gaming.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Focuses on engagement, retention and advocacy of platform players, with a Xbox Game Pass membership, and partner closely with demand generation and acquisition marketing role to ensure consistency in member experience through the lifecycle.
  • Knows and understands usage patterns of Xbox Game Pass, and identify what limits usage and how to counteract it
  • Drives campaigns that maximize user engagement and develops the right marketing program/campaign for each activity
  • Partners with other teams (Business Planning, Merchandising, Marketing Communications, Lifestyle, Product etc.) to pilot, redesign, execute, expand, engagement campaigns and improve platform features to increase engagement.
  • Partners with Business Planning to define how we will track and scorecard our targets and metrics.
  • Tracks the efficacy of marketing to identify results and possible areas for adjustment
  • Leads messaging, customer/partner advocacy, channel implementation, or field readiness to contribute to strategy and execution excellence for Xbox Services.
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of personalization models across audiences.
