Making sure that the sellers are having the right conversations at the right time is key to the company’s success, and the Worldwide Incentive Compensation team connects strategy to seller behavior in one of the most important ways: by determining how sellers get paid.

As Sales Insights Analytics Manager, you will contribute to designing and advocating for customer-centric plans and strategies. Your role will be pivotal in driving sales success, influencing decisions beyond compensation, and ensuring the excellence of our sales force.
You'll analyze sales performance data, provide actionable insights, and collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve our compensation plans. This opportunity will allow you to dive deep into the world of business analytics, leveraging quantitative analyses and modeling to inform decision-making. You'll synthesize findings, develop performance reports, drive continuous process improvement, and communicate results to senior executives and sales leadership. Moreover, you'll have the chance to engage with cross-functional teams, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and drive innovation across the organization.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years’ experience working in a large or highly matrixed organization, preferably in the technology industry.
- 3+ years program leadership/management experience.
- 3+ years’ experience modeling data or statistical forecasting using software packages (e.g., ADX/Azure Stack, SQL, R, Python, Excel).
Preferred qualifications
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 8+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years’ experience of using Microsoft data products (Power BI, Kusto, Fabric, etc.)
- 3+ years experience of sales analytics or sales operations.
Data Analytics IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities
Compensation Consulting
- Leverages an understanding of compensation design principles, levers, and mechanics to support incentive compensation plan design
- Presents plan analyses, rationale, and costs. Calibrates plans against software, services, and sales Go-to-Market strategies.
- Engages with the stakeholders to review fairness and equality of compensation design mechanics.
Stakeholder Management
- Acts as the voice of their stakeholders and partners across the organization to design, implement, and oversee plans/programs that are customer centric.
- Influences across the company to accomplish initiatives, serve sales leaders, achieve business goals, owning the relationships with cross-functional (e.g., finance, business/engineering groups, HR, sales segments) and multi-country team members.
- Identifies and addresses broader business needs from a compensation perspective.
Business Analytics
- Performs analytics and modeling for team leaders and Sales leadership on compensation plan performance, compensation scenario analysis, and effectiveness reviews to provide business insight.
- Understands how key data attributes come together to drive quality seller setups.
- Conducts scenario modeling and analyzes incentive compensation plan designs to assess legal and financial risks.
- Uses mathematical and statistical modeling to provide recommendations for action based on data-driven conclusions, including operational and financial cost implications.
- Collaborates with team members to build cohesive, data-driven stories to describe compensation related problems, simplifying the complex and connecting dots across available data.
- Completes sales performance reports and/or data visualizations to communicate sales compensation results and quantify business impact within their team.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Contributes to the creation of global tools and processes.
- Engages in user acceptance testing (UAT) on new platform features.
- Increases industry-wide perspective to inform future compensation processes.
- Contributes to continuous process improvements and in-flight changes through the review and analysis of incentive compensation performance.
Governance and Compliance
- Assesses programs for potential risks, verifying adherence to company policies and procedures when executing compensation practices.
- Identifies control measures and governance needs.
Specialty Responsibilities
- Uses statistical models and machine learning thinking to support modeling of compensation simulations.
- Reports on and develops a basic understanding of pay for performance philosophy and owns cost portfolio management reporting.
- Assesses and learns overall cost impact and risks (e.g., legal, financial, reputational).
