Microsoft Ads Engineering team is seeking a Software Engineer II in Redmond, WA to come join us and make a difference!

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing the capabilities of our features empowered large data and pipelines, ensuring it provides valuable insights to our customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data team, product managers, and User Experience (UX) designers, to deliver innovative solutions that address the critical needs of our customers.
We ship code to production every day so you can see your results and make an impact quickly. Our platform is built entirely (User Interface, Database, Machine Learning) on Azure and Microsoft Dynamics, so you can learn and use the coolest and newest technology.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of combination of infrastructure/back-end and UI development experience – Cloud Technology (AWS/Azure/K8S).
- 2+ years of product lifecycle experience (from customer requirements -> functional spec -> design -> development/testing -> deployment and monitoring).
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- OR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Passion for quality, outstanding problem solving and drive for results.
- Proficient system/technical design.
- Design and implement extensible service systems that can scale out with high performance and high availability, with data/telemetry driven design and technical decision making.
- Working proficieny and experience in Microsoft Dynamics.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

Responsibilities
- Full Software Development Lifecycle: Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor high volume, high scale services running on the Cloud based platform.
- Data Pipeline Management: Build and manage data pipelines processing the data driven features and intelligence to drive Ads business growth.
- Development & Ownership: Drive and build customer-focused features from planning and design through to release and maintenance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with partners, engineers, and program managers within Microsoft to deliver compelling solutions.
- Adaptability: Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends and technical solutions to enhance the performance and reliability of our products.
