The Third Party Vetting Operations (VetOps) team plays a critical role in ensuring that every Microsoft partner meets our standards of trust and integrity. VetOps is part of the Partner Lifecycle and Trust Operations organization within Microsoft Business Operations.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND experience in program management, process management, process improvement
- OR equivalent experience
- Experience in Compliance, Risk, Vendor Management, or third-party vetting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or certifications (PMP, Lean Six Sigma).
- Experience in compliance, risk, or third-party vetting in large organizations.
- Global program experience and cultural fluency.
- Track record of driving measurable process improvements.
- Comfort with technical concepts and AI-driven operations.
- Proven ability to lead complex programs, manage multiple priorities, and drive change in global, cross-functional environments.
- Data analysis and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Excel, Power BI, or SQL to track metrics and identify root causes. Continuous improvement mindset essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication. Skilled at tailoring messages for a wide range of audiences and influencing stakeholders across levels.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Effective in matrixed organizations. Able to lead cross-functional workstreams and build strong relationships without direct authority.
Responsibilities
- Program & Performance Management: Own end-to-end vetting operations. Monitor key metrics (e.g., cycle time, backlog, quality), report to leadership, and drive performance improvements.
- Process & Policy Optimization: Lead continuous improvement efforts. Identify inefficiencies, update SOPs and templates, and provide feedback to policy and engineering teams to streamline vetting.
- Automation & AI Enablement: Champion automation and agentic AI adoption. Partner with Engineering and Data Science to reduce manual work and responsibly deploy AI-driven vetting enhancements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Legal, Engineering, Field Ops) to manage process changes, resolve issues, and align on new requirements or escalations.
- Vendor Management: Serve as the primary liaison for outsourced vetting teams. Set expectations, review performance, and lead improvement initiatives to enhance vendor quality and efficiency.
- Risk & Compliance Oversight: Ensure vetting aligns with Microsoft’s compliance standards. Monitor for red flags, resolve issues, and inform risk teams of emerging trends.
- Strategic Leadership: Drive strategic initiatives such as scaling operations, improving onboarding experiences, and shaping the future of VetOps. Influence cross-team priorities and mentor peers.
