The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Frameworks team at Microsoft develops AI software that enables running AI models everywhere, from the world’s fastest AI supercomputers, to servers, desktops, mobile phones, IoT devices, and internet browsers. We collaborate with hardware teams and partners to build the software stacks for AI across Microsoft.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager - AI/Android - CoreAI to join the AI Frameworks team and be at the forefront of on-device AI model acceleration across billions of devices worldwide. As a key member of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to work on the latest and most advanced AI models, ensuring they run seamlessly on billions of devices, from desktops to mobile phones. Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product management
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in AI developer tooling, SDK
- 3+ years of experience with the Android development ecosystem, including NDK, Android Runtime, and hardware acceleration capabilities
- 1+ years of experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow Lite and ONNX Runtime
- 1+ year of understanding of AI model optimization and hardware acceleration
- 1+ year of experience launching developer-facing products or SDKs with measurable adoption
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
- Engineering background with hands-on mobile development experience (Android preferred)
- Experience with AI compiler technologies, model format conversions, or runtime optimization
- Familiarity with emerging AI hardware
- Hands-on experience using AI tools for product design and prototyping
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product roadmap.
- Establish metrics for developer success, retention, and SDK adoption
- Drive adoption metrics and developer engagement strategies
- Define API specifications, documentation standards, and developer onboarding experiences
- Lead product decision for model acceleration, distribution, developer experience for AI integration on Android platform.
- Conduct user research with mobile developers to understand AI integration pain points
- Collaborate with business development on ecosystem partnerships and third-party integrations
