As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Surface SMEC & Channel, you’ll lead the strategy to grow Surface and Microsoft solutions through Small and Medium Enterprise customers—primarily via digital sales channels and Platinum Partner Resellers—while shaping go-to-market strategies, driving partner engagement, and delivering impactful marketing programs that accelerate growth across consumer and commercial channels.

This role is ideal for a strategic marketer and collaborative leader who thrives at the intersection of partner ecosystems, sales enablement, and customer engagement. You’ll drive measurable impact across the customer journey by connecting marketing to sales and co-selling motions that accelerate device and AI solution adoption. Passionate about bringing AI-powered devices to market, you’ll craft and execute joint marketing plans with commercial channel partners—embedding priority messaging around Surface Copilot devices, and optimizing performance through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of digital marketing experience building customer journey marketing plans and GTM plans for products.
  • 5+ years experience in partner marketing, channel sales, or digital sales programs.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • Dependable grasp of SMB customer priorities and partner ecosystems, enabling thoughtful and relevant marketing strategies.
  • Cooperative and capable of guiding cross-functional teams while managing stakeholder relationships with reliability and care.
  • Methodical and committed to creating clarity in evolving environments, always focused on driving meaningful outcomes.
  • Communicating with purpose and empathy, including the ability to deliver connected, executive-level storytelling that inspires action.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Marketing Strategies

    • Grow Surface and Microsoft solutions through Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEC) customers.
    • Drive growth via partner-led channels including digital sales and Platinum Partner resellers.
  • Partner Activation

    • Build and execute co-sell and marketing engagement plans with Digital sales teams and resellers.
    • Manage joint marketing plans to align with Microsoft’s business goals and maximize ROI.
    • Coach partners on audience insights, campaign performance, and messaging refinement.
  • Pipeline Creation

    • Develop campaigns and programs that generate new device sales opportunities.
    • Attach Microsoft AI solutions to drive full-funnel marketing impact.
    • Analyze competitive landscapes and customer insights to inform campaign direction.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration

    • Work across global marketing, sales, engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams.
    • Support product launches and scale initiatives across SMB and retail channels.
  • Agency & Stakeholder Management

    • Manage external agencies to deliver lifecycle marketing capabilities.
    • Collaborate with internal marketing teams to optimize campaign execution and performance.
  • Customer Engagement

    • Innovate new ways to acquire and retain customers through data-driven marketing.
    • Connect marketing to sales and co-selling motions that accelerate device and AI solution adoption.
