Within Gaming, we accomplish Microsoft’s mission in two ways
- Drive consumer engagement and revenue at retail: Use consumer insights, market data, store level analysis, and sales information to evaluate our business performance and develop seasonal, launch, & sustain plans to improve our partners’ business, win share, sell units, and drive revenue.
- Amplify the Xbox brand through our retail partners: Plan and execute thoughtful and impactful through-line-full-funnel-marketing, focused on driving purchase intent, conversion & post purchase advocacy and consumer lifetime value for Gaming devices, content, accessories, and services.

How you can make an impact
As the Americas Gaming Category Manager for Xbox within CSO you will create the Americas Retail Strategy for Xbox Consoles, influencing future product plans and enabling partners by defining the category story, delivering regionally relevant insights, creating regional programs aligned to the business priorities, and setting/striving to achieve success metrics.
This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 5+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 6+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations OR equivalent experience.
- Business level fluency to read, write and speak English.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance OR related field AND 7+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations
- Experience planning and executing assortment plans, marketing strategies, and activities that drive business results.
- Be a skillful leader, able to directly deliver and deliver thru influence of others - both internally at Microsoft and externally thru retail partners.
- Be a confident leader, representing your business in front of partners and stakeholders at all levels inside and outside Microsoft.
- A successful track record in managing and transforming a consumer category, while meeting sales and profitability targets.
- Sharp analytical skills and acumen and can use to review and manage budgets, market data, and deal opportunities.
Responsibilities
Americas Console Performance
- Ownership of Budgeting Process: Lead the Americas budgeting process for Consoles, including partner target tracking, quarterly forecast achievements, monthly business reviews, and weekly performance reporting.
- Accountability for Metrics: Drive regional accountability across both retail and direct channels for Console metrics, including revenue and inventory management.
- Demand Planning Alignment: Collaborate with partners in region and the Global Category Lead to ensure alignment on demand planning.
Americas Retail Strategy for Consoles
- Americas Retail Strategy Development: Create a comprehensive regional retail strategy for Consoles that aligns with the full ecosystem of devices, services, content, and growth areas. Develop fiscal year priorities to help Americas execute marketing plans, strategies, and campaigns.
- Partner Pitch Meetings: By leveraging the WW Category Partner Pitch documentation, create regionally compelling partner pitch materials to retail partners.
- Market Dynamics Response: Drive efforts to correct errors (COE) in response to market dynamics.
Driving Console Growth
- Opportunity Identification: Identify new growth opportunities and prioritize them based on their potential.
- Strategic Channel Growth: Collaborate with the WW Console Category Lead to shape strategies for new and strategic sales, including partner selection, onboarding, and tracking results, best practices, and learnings for future partner rollouts.
- Market Expansion Support: Assist in driving market expansion and launching new tests or trials.
Console Insights
- Category and Regional Insights: Leverage industry knowledge, channel insights, and customer understanding to drive strategic alignment, digital transformation, and achieve joint business objectives with partners and WW Category.
- Voice of the Partner: Share insights based on in-store and online execution, customer and partner feedback, and market/industry trends.
