Overview
The Chief Product Officer Office within Azure Core drives strategic alignment across product, engineering, business, and field teams to ensure Microsoft delivers secure, high-quality, and customer-focused cloud infrastructure. Operating through a hub-and-spoke model, the Chief Product Officer Office leads business innovation, lifecycle management, and portfolio strategy—enabling teams to scale current offerings while building the future of infrastructure powered by artificial intelligence.
As a Technical Principal Program Manager in the Azure Core Chief Product Officer Office, you will guide the development of agentic strategy across the product lifecycle—from inception to retirement. This includes driving automation, governance, and developer productivity by shaping how Azure products are launched, scaled, and retired with clarity, compliance, and alignment to customer needs. This role offers opportunities to deepen expertise in cloud infrastructure lifecycle management and influence product strategy across teams. Flexible work options are available, including partial remote work.
You will also lead cross-functional collaboration to improve platform performance and customer experience. This includes validating use cases, writing test cases, and supporting departments in collecting performance metrics. You will oversee customer support efforts and mentor others in direct customer engagements.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years experience in engineering, product or technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience accepted
- 8+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
- 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demonstrations).
1+ year(s) experience with agentic workflows, automation triggers, and version control for managing breaking changes.
1+ year(s) experience influencing cross-functional teams and driving adoption of lifecycle policies and tooling.
Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.

Responsibilities
- Design and Deliver Technical Solutions. You will partner with Software Engineering to architect complex technical solutions across feature areas and provide data-driven recommendations based on identified risks.
- Drive Cross-Functional Execution. You’ll define success criteria and coordinate implementation across highly complex, multi-feature projects, ensuring alignment across engineering, business, and lifecycle teams.
- Lead Roadmap and Governance Programs. You will define and manage roadmaps across divisions, track schedules, develop staging and implementation plans, and lead governance efforts to support lifecycle compliance.
- Champion Agentic Design and Delivery. You will define and implement agentic design principles across lifecycle workflows, including prototyping, modeling, and governance. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate agentic AI capabilities, such as supervisor agents, prompt management, and human-in-the-loop validation.
