Overview
We have exciting new opportunities in the Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop engineering team to help customers take advantage of modern technologies to provide virtualized apps and desktops hosted on Azure.
As a Principal Product Management Manager in Windows 365, you will get an amazing opportunity to demonstrate leadership at both business and technology level. You will get to extend your knowledge of desktop virtualization and technical areas including Windows, Office, and our cloud-based management suite, and drive product improvements into Azure and M365. You will be part of a team designing new capabilities for our core products to enhance the value to our customer base. This will also include customer and partner meetings and opportunities to travel.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) people management experience.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of product management and shipping products experience.
- Committed to bringing customer satisfaction and value to our customers
- Experience driving up customer satisfaction
- Experience developing and improving a team culture
- Experience managing product managers
- Experience navigating and clarifying ambiguous assignments
- Experience working with virtualization or endpoint management
- Experience with documentation, cross group collaboration and presentations
- Experience in business programs and leading cross-functional teams
Product Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.

Responsibilities
- Just like applications were brought to the cloud with SaaS, we are now bringing the operating system to the cloud with Windows 365, providing organizations with greater flexibility and a secure way to empower their workforce to be more productive and connected, regardless of location.
- Windows Apps and Desktops remain the mission critical component of our commercial customers’ workplace and are therefore a critical aspect of our customer promise. You will work closely with end users and IT admins in commercial customers and partners to gather and prioritize requirements to help them successfully migrate their workloads to the cloud, where they can remain productive, secure, and up-to-date.
- Inside Microsoft you will collaborate closely with multiple engineering teams across Microsoft, as well as with external partners to develop strategy and drive execution to deliver demonstrable value to customers and market.
- As a part of the role, you are expected to provide proficient business and technical expertise in solving difficult problems, turn ideas into high-quality software and services, and ultimately create or strengthen unique value propositions for Windows 365.
