The Cloud & AI Platform (CAIP) team is a growing organization that consists of Solution Specialists and Solution Engineers, who focus on specific domains, industries, and workloads, such as Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Services, Application Development and Machine Learning.

As the Director, AI Apps Solution Engineering Technical Enablement and Community Lead, you will work within our worldwide CAIP Commercial solution area, collaborating with internal organizations, to develop AI Apps sales and technical skilling plans to drive technical wins and business success. You will identify skilling needs and develop listening mechanisms to provide insights. You will also develop an AI Apps SE community, which will serve to nurture sellers and provide a platform for them to share experiences and proven practices.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 5+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.

Responsibilities

Apps Role ownership and Skilling lead

  • Responsible for developing role success guides for Apps Solution engineer roles.
  • Build and operationalize the yearly skilling plan for targeted roles

Sales and Technical Enablement Program Leadership

  • Develops and executes high-quality Azure AI Apps and Agents Sales and Technical skilling projects/programs across organizational boundaries, including live (in-person, virtual) and on-demand.
  • Practices seller-centric approach in scoping learning outcomes for skilling projects.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and proposes new readiness/enablement projects based on unmet needs.
  • Implements and executes tactically on a strategic end-to-end learner journey and collection of learning experiences and programs that correlate to key business impact metrics such as seller productivity, revenue, and consumption.
    Collaborates with Sales and Technical Enablement team to develop holistic AI Apps readiness plans for Field, Partner, and Customer.
  • Collaborates with learning organization team to leverage existing events and readiness engines.
  • Drives the content improvement process through collecting, examining, and incorporating 360-degree feedback and data to make content and delivery adjustments

Readiness Planning

  • Collaborates with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Field Sales) for holistic field readiness planning.
  • Collaborates with internal organizations, to develop AI Apps sales and technical skilling plans to drive seller and business success. For e.g. Advanced technical training, including deep dives into AI Agents and App development, AI Infrastructure, Model fine-tuning, and hands-on workshops, Deep technical training with Product teams and Engineering.
  • Advises senior leadership as a domain expert to inform planning decisions.
  • Demonstrates influence through collaboration across multiple divisions.

Onboarding

  • Plans and executes holistic onboarding plan for new Solution Engineers.
  • Partner closely with learning organization to scale globally and curate onboarding assets for both onboarding and ever boarding.

Landing

  • Collaborates with landing leads to coordinate AI Apps readiness landing strategy to ensure smooth landing, strong field execution and seller capability building.
  • Leads, manages, and adjusts plans to achieve desired business outcomes.

Community Management

  • Develops and leads Apps SE field community to nurture seller success.
  • Develops the platform for knowledge sharing, feedback collection and open dialog between the stakeholders.
  • Leverages listening systems, business reviews, etc. to discover skills gap/needs.
  • Synthesizes findings into insights, leveraging executive presence to influence decisions and proactively drive solutions.
  • Strive to exceed success metrics, leverages feedback for continuous improvement.
