As a Software Engineer II- Teams Mobile Application in this role, you will design and build intelligent mobile solutions that leverage data science and AI/ML models, with a solid emphasis on iOS development and exposure to Android. You’ll work on integrating advanced algorithms into mobile applications, ensuring scalability and high performance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, Python, Objective C, Swift or Kotlin
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience in iOS mobile application development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, Python, Objective C, Swift or Kotlin
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, Python, Objective C, Swift or Kotlin
    • OR equivalent experience.
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, Python, Objective C, Swift or Kotlin
  • Experience working with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and practical experience applying Data Science techniques.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for mobile-first features, leveraging AI/ML models and data-driven insights.
  • Contribute to identifying dependencies and developing design documents for intelligent mobile solutions and cross-platform applications with minimal oversight.
  • Create and implement reusable code for iOS-focused features (with some Android exposure) and AI-powered functionality, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Break down larger work items into smaller tasks, provide accurate estimations, and optimize for mobile integration and data science workflows.
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to monitor mobile services and AI-driven features, restoring functionality promptly during outages.
  • Stay current with advancements in iOS frameworks, Objective-C, Swift, mobile development, and AI/ML technologies to improve reliability, observability, and efficiency at scale.
  • Drive consistency in monitoring and operations while innovating on AI-driven mobile user experiences and seamless mobile collaboration tools.
