Overview
Microsoft Surface is entering an exciting new phase in EMEA, and we’re looking for a Commercial Go-To-Market (GTM) Manager for France to help drive growth and innovation. This role is part of a newly formed team focused on delivering impact for customers and accelerating business momentum.
What You’ll Do
As the Surface Commercial GTM Manager, you’ll be responsible for shaping and executing the commercial strategy for Surface in France.
Your work will include:
- Building and delivering business plans that drive revenue and market share.
- Collaborating with sales, marketing, and partner teams to ensure strong execution and alignment.
- Analysing market trends and competitive insights to inform decisions and enable the sales team.
- Showcasing customer success stories and using feedback to improve programmes.
- Championing innovation, including the latest AI-powered devices and solutions, to help customers work smarter.
- This is a strategic and hands-on role where you’ll connect big-picture planning with day-to-day execution, ensuring Surface is seen as more than a device—it's a platform for productivity and innovation.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)
- Experience in marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, pre-sales, or similar commercial roles.
- Strong knowledge of the French market, with the ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders in French.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.
- Track record in solution selling, account growth, and/or partner engagement.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
- Proven leadership in large, complex matrix organizations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
Drive Strategic Leadership
- Translate Surface Commercial strategy into localized execution plans across EMEA and predominantly France.
- Identify white-space growth opportunities and build investment plans that drive long-term impact.
- Own business planning, performance tracking, and strategic alignment across France subsidiary.
Drive Business Performance of Surface
- Partner with France subsidiary to drive GTM for Surface solutions, identifying market growth opportunities and building clear execution plans.
- Align, influence, and coach field teams, sales operations, marketing plans, business rhythms, and change management to convert strategic priorities into local execution.
- Collaborate across Microsoft core teams to bring the voice of the field and co-design strategy and programs that resonate locally.
Lead Sales Enablement
- Land and champion Surface solutions, activating connected sales and marketing execution across every segment to maximize performance and market share.
- Collaborate with Surface PDM teams to drive local partner-led marketing strategies and demand generation aligned to solution play performance.
- Champion Microsoft’s strategy and Surface solutions while building industry presence and thought leadership.
Champion Product Advocacy and Field Engagement
- Advocate as the voice of customers, partners, and field teams to provide thought leadership on competitive landscape, solution gaps, and sales trends.
- Drive standardized rhythms and tools that increase customer and partner-facing time for sellers.
- Activate leaders and managers on investment and resource optimization through data and analysis.
- Lead competitive analysis and solution area gap identification.
