The Customer Experience Engineering (CXE) team within the Microsoft Security organization is at the forefront of this effort, engaging directly with customers to contribute to their success. The CXE team assists in the onboarding of customers to our products, focuses on delivering a top-notch customer experience, and drives a data-driven feedback loop to inform product decision-making.
Security Copilot, is our new AI-based security offer that will enable security professionals to move at the speed and scale of AI. Security Copilot combines the latest Large Language Model (LLM) technology with the full power of the Microsoft Security products that our customers are already using. Agents offer to open up new frontier in cybersecurity and we are focused on delivering on the vision.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years of experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience in developing agents in YAML (YAML Ain’t Markup Language) and other frameworks.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical role in the area of Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Cyber Incident Response, or Penetration Testing/Red Teaming.
- 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft 365 Defender suite of products, Sentinel, Entra, and Intune.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Prefered Qualifications:
- Agent development in YAML and other frameworks.
- Knowledge of operating system internals, OS security mitigations & understanding of Security challenges in Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and iOS platforms.
- Demostrated cross-group and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate business need for detection improvements.
- Knowledge of major cloud and productivity platforms as well as identity systems and related security concerns.
- Experience with curation of Threat Intelligence.
- Experience with direct customer communication in a service delivery role.
- Experience with reverse engineering, digital forensics (DFIR) or incident response, or machine learning models.
- Experience with system administration in a large enterprise environment including Windows and Linux servers and workstations, network administration, cloud administration.
- Experience with offensive security including tools such as Metasploit, exploit development, Open Source Intelligence Gathering (OSINT), and designing ways to breach enterprise networks.
- A strategic mindset and vision to anticipate future demands and market needs.
- The ability to partner closely with both internal and external customers and partners.
- Positive and collaborative team player with demonstrated ability to work on cross-team projects.
- Clear and effective communication skills with effective interpersonal skills, written and spoken communication for both internal and external audiences, and the ability to adapt to your audience (including executive leadership).
- Ability to go deep in technical/solution areas with drive and a growth mindset.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders leading highly visible initiatives/products/projects at scale.
- Advanced knowledge of operating system internals and security mechanisms.
- Experience analyzing attacker techniques.
- Skilled working with extremely large data sets, using tools and scripting languages such as: Excel, Kusto Query Language (KQL), Python, Splunk, and PowerBI.
- Knowledge of kill-chain model, ATT&CK framework, and modern penetration testing techniques.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Product Manager – Security Copilot on the Microsoft Security Customer Experience Engineering (CXE) team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Understand Security Operations Center (SOC) functions and workflows, such as incident triage and investigation, and translate those insights into successful customer experiences with Microsoft’s Security AI product.
- Support customers, partners, and engagement teams as the Security AI product evolves.
- Serve as a point of contact in Microsoft Security Engineering for assigned customers and partners.
- Host reoccurring meetings with design partners to gather feedback and introduce Microsoft Security Specialists.
- Work towards becoming an speacialist on the Microsoft Security AI strategy and supporting product technologies (Microsoft 365 Defender, Sentinel, Entra, and Intune) to effectively guide customers and partners.
- Act as the advocate and interface between customers, partners, and the Microsoft Security product and engineering teams for Microsoft’s Security AI product and the Microsoft 365 Defender product suite, Sentinel, and Intune to ensure customer and partner issues are properly addressed, drive critical feedback and insights, and gather customer requirements to improve the product, value to customers, and product adoption.
- Work directly with customers at all levels of their security organization from analyst to Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to support investigation and response.
- Be an advisor and an advocate in developing agents in Security Copilot and other development environments.
