The Customer Acceleration Team (CAT) is part of the Customer Experience Engineering (CxE) division within Microsoft’s Security division. We work with customers from all over the world and all shapes and sizes, and we work directly with engineering to shape the product based on these customer insights. The CAT PM will handle technical aspects of customer and partner engagements with a focus on Sentinel Platform initiatives encompassing Sentinel data lake, Sentinel Graph, Sentinel MCP Server, Security Agents and Security Store. This role entails providing proactive guidance, active listening, dealing with ambiguity and driving technical execution.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Established expertise in security operations, security engineering and associated domain of security technology, architecture and practices.
- Established expertise in technical pre-sales and technical consulting / delivery experience.
- Established experience in product management or related discipline with a track record managing complex / cross-group projects with many partners and stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience in APIs / HTTP / REST, JSON, authentication (OAUTH, bearer tokens, service principals), networking basics (TLS/SSL, proxies, firewall rules, connectivity troubleshooting)
- Hands-on experience in MCP fundamentals (configurations, endpoints, architecture, roles defined by the protocol), remote MCP server usage (connect from supported clients and issue requests), agent / LLM awareness (familiarity with Security Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Azure AI Foundry along with LLM basics such as tokens, context windows, function calling and prompt engineering).
- Hands-on experience in tools and debugging (comfortable with VS Code, use of HTTP client tools such as Postman, Insomnia, CURL to validate/ test endpoints, and reading / troubleshooting MCP logs and error responses). Nice to have (familiarity with 3P agentic clients such as Cursor, Windsurf, Amazon Bedrock, Google Agentic Platform, Claude)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Highly adaptable to change and comfortable pivoting in response to evolving circumstances and ambiguous situations within a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience engaging with customers and managing expectations in customer-facing roles.
- Experience delivering concise and fact-based communications / presentations both verbal and written and adapting style and level of information based on audience (C-Level, business, architect, analysts, developers).
- Experience evaluating and translating customer needs, requirements, and challenges, identifying solutions (positioning, technology, business value, prioritization), and communicating improvement opportunities to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience regarding the common challenges and opportunities within a SOC environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft’s broader security product suites including Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Entra and Intune.
- Familiarity with Data Lake architectures, open data formats, and data services encompassing log ingestion, transformation, etc.
- Established expertise in SIEM / SOAR solutions (Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender).
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities
Lead customer engagement alongside product and engineering teams in a first-class manner.
Partner with product, engineering, marketing and other CxE teams across Security organization to drive strategy and execution alignment.
Communicate clearly about initiative risks, accomplishments, learnings and opportunities.
Become a subject matter expert and ramp-up quickly on new and emerging capabilities from a technical breadth and depth perspective with a focus on security, SIEM, data lake, graph, MCP server, AI and Security Store.
Advocate for the interoperability across the Unified Agentic Platform and support SOC-focused agent development, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity and software development lifecycle standards.
Comfortable and confidently deliver technical and strategic sessions and demonstrations to customer stakeholders ranging from C-Level to architects to analyst level audiences.
Be customer obsessed, act as the customer advocate within security engineering teams to ensure customer use cases / blockers / issues / feedback and needs are properly addressed to resolution. Drive critical feedback, insights, customer requirements to improve the solution, drive value to customers and overall solution adoption and consumption.
Create and maintain technical documentation, onboarding guides and best practices in an effort to scale learnings to the broader field, customer and partner communities.
Build and maintain key relationships with customer stakeholders to drive continued confidence and trust with Microsoft.
