As a Senior Product Manager - M365 Copilot Chat, you will be accountable for leading a cross-company initiative to bring the power of M365 Copilot Chat to all M365 experiences. You’ll define strategy, shape product experiences, and ultimately deliver AI experiences and features in the M365 apps to meet the adoption, engagement, and retention goals that are critical to Microsoft.

Success in this role will be illustrated through committed cross-functional partnerships, strategic thought leadership, and a solid bias for collaboration. It requires customer obsession, being data driven, the ability to communicate crisply and effectively with partners and stakeholders, and a deep passion for delivering high-quality, AI-powered experiences that delight users and drive impact at scale.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years experience with A/B experimentation and rapid, data-driven iteration

Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proficient customer focus and ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Comfortable with end-to-end ownership for new and innovative features.
  • Reliable communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap Execution: Define and drive the product vision to bring M365 Copilot experience into relevant M365 apps. Leverage user behavior insights and Gen AI needs to shape the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) experiences, execute roadmap milestones, and drive Copilot Chat adoption with high user satisfaction. Partner with leadership to establish success metrics, monitor adoption trends, and proactively address scale blockers. Partner with business planning to ensure alignment of MVP with Copilot product and license tiering.
  • Own and Drive Project Goals: This role is accountable for setting, tracking, and achieving product objectives and key results, ensuring that success is measured by real customer engagement and impact - not just code delivery.
  • Experience Quality & Iterative Innovation: For the experiences in scope of this role, the Product Manager is accountable for high quality Copilot experiences that are integral and natural part of the overall M365 app experience, driving seamless user engagement and satisfaction. Analyze usage data, synthesize user feedback, and lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, and partner teams to experiment on and deliver differentiating innovations.
  • Cross-Team Alignment & Stakeholder Management: Lead the M365 Copilot team collaboration with M365 app stakeholders. Align priorities, resolve dependencies, and co-own success metrics. Ensure executive visibility through clear communication of progress, learnings, and impact across stakeholders.
  • Go-to-Market & Customer Communication: Collaborate with business and marketing teams to ensure needed customer communications, product updates, and go-to-market strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and customer success.
  • Operational Excellence & Knowledge Management: Optimize team workflows through scalable processes and documentation. Own the creation of playbooks and best practices that capture learnings, accelerate future innovation cycles, and elevate execution quality.
