The Azure Block Storage team is responsible for delivering block storage solutions for Virtual Machines (VMs), containers, and a variety of customer workloads. You can be part of a strategic team with Microsoft-wide and industry-wide impact.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will collaborate closely with engineering, finance, and business stakeholders to shape product roadmaps, determine investment priorities, and ensure our solutions make a measurable impact for both our customers and Microsoft. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ year(s) experience applying proficient analytical skills for data-driven decision-making, interpreting complex data sets and providing actionable insights.

  • 2+ years experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and providing clear, concise information exchange.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management
    • OR software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years in technical program management, software development, or related technical roles.
  • 2+ year experience with hyperscale cloud storage technologies, distributed systems, or enterprise customer needs.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for multiple feature areas. You’ll also lead teams in identifying long-term investment opportunities and engaging partners to garner support for those feature areas.
  • You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams – including engineering, operations, business, marketing, and support – to deliver high-impact features on time and within budget.
  • You’ll promote the feature areas you worked on. This will include presenting at small and large industry events, and collaborate on educational initiatives with Product Marketing.
  • You’ll partner with stakeholders to define, collect, analyze, and interpret metrics to validate product hypotheses, measure success, and iterate quickly. You’ll also manage customer communities and build trust with targeted customers.
  • You’ll ensure all solutions meet Microsoft’s security, privacy, and accessibility standards.
