Overview
This role is in the Office AI org which is central to the development of M365 Copilot, and where we design and deliver AI-native experiences in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll help ensure the features and capabilities we’re building meet customer demands, work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to provide feedback on how people are using these capabilities in the real world, and drive our target setting, tracking, and reporting process for metrics that Office AI is responsible for.
This role is for someone passionate about modeling and tracking measures of user success, eager to collaborate across disciplines, and motivated to help shape the future of AI-powered productivity. You will play a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making relating to the Office and M365 Copilot business, and ensuring impactful and measurable outcomes for shared Copilot features being delivered across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and more.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of industry experience building and operationalizing measures of user engagement analytics, forecasting, user retention and product satisfaction with high-scale productivity applications.
- 2+ years of experience with large-scale telemetry, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Kusto, Python/R).
- Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 6+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 8+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities
- Proactively anticipate business questions to develop data frames and analytical solutions that report activation, engagement and retention at the constituent feature level. You’ll apply a customer-oriented focus and build trust with customers, stakeholders and partner teams by leveraging knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Share insights and analytical expertise to expose customer stories through dashboards, reports, internal forums, and more. You’ll partner to advise on experimental design and recommend product direction based on your insights.
- You will partner with TPM and Product PMs to generate and communicate experimentation impact assessments.
- You will support Copilot experimentation exit reviews and help our team understand the impact of our features on VCIs and OPG business outcomes.
- You’ll leverage working relationships across teams to ensure alignment and drive the adoption of recommended data sources and analysis practices. You’ll maintain expertise in privacy requirements and identify and address impact of updated guidance on work activities and results.
