Are you passionate about driving cloud transformation in the Critical Infrastructure sector? Join our dynamic team as a Cloud & AI Solution Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in accelerating Microsoft Azure adoption in The Netherlands. You will collaborate with a high-performing team of Solution Engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful cloud solutions that address complex customer needs.
As a Cloud & AI Specialist, you are the Azure sales representative for your assigned customers with deep technical and business knowledge within our critical infrastructure sales organization, working with our most important customers in The Netherlands. A core competency of the role is to advance the engagement process to achieve/exceed quarterly Azure consumption targets across Infrastructure, Data, and AI platforms in your assigned account(s).
You possess executive presence, you are able to engage with decision makers to drive AI transformation, and have an insatiable interest for learning how Azure cloud services can deliver digital transformation. You will lead a virtual team of sales, technical, and services resources to help customers realize transformation through cloud computing. You will identify projects, build a compelling business case, and drive the consumption project to production. You will build and maintain relationships with customers, influence long-term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor with business and technology decision makers. You will help customers evaluate their cloud strategy, determine approaches to application and data migration and modernization, and recommend solutions that meet their requirements. You will remove roadblocks to deployment and drive customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Proven technology-related sales or account management experience
- Masters Degree in Information Technology, or related field
- Dutch speaking strongly preferred
Responsibilities
Sales Execution
- Assesses and qualifies sales opportunities for Azure in all solution areas (Infrastructure, Data & AI, Application Innovation) in the Critical Infrastructure sector following sales frameworks and guidelines, ensuring alignment with AI-enhanced sales methodologies and best practices. Leads the process of gaining commitment from customer and closing deals to meet targets and customer ambitions. Collaborates across Microsoft organizations (Account Team Unit, Customer Success, Partner Team) to contribute to deal orchestration and handoffs throughout the deal lifecycle with minimal guidance. Including working closely with Solution Engineers.
- Ensures each customer understands Microsoft's commitment to secure, AI-powered transformation and aligns the customer’s related priorities to the customer success plan, fostering long-term partnerships through AI-driven insights.
Sales Excellence
- Participates in sales pipeline reviews with internal stakeholders to drive forecasting accuracy and meeting sales targets, ensuring the use of AI-powered analytics and forecasting tools to enhance precision. Maintains sales and/or consumption pipeline hygiene to enable tracking to achieve assigned sales metrics using all available tools, resources, and processes. Drives usage and/or consumption pipeline hygiene to actively monitor adoption trends, identify opportunities for intervention, enabling customers to realize the value of solutions purchased, drive expansion, and ensure healthier, more predictable renewals.
Scaling and Collaboration
- Leads the sales orchestration with internal stakeholders and partners. Applies a holistic approach to build network across territories. Positions opportunities to promote collaboration and participation.
- Ensures partner teams, resources and relationships are activated, driving co-selling strategies and partner attach to each opportunity early in the sales lifecycle. Ensures connections with the partner organization to drive share, partner health, that aligns with execution plans to accelerate customer value realization at scale.
Technical Knowledge
- Requires a 200 level technical knowledge and has completed or is pursuing completion of Azure 900 level certification (or other equivalent cloud AWS / Google / OCI certifications)
