Overview

The Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Finance team provides key insights that help corporate business partners at Microsoft make better financial and business decisions. We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to partner with Finance and Operations teams and leaders to support the orchestration and consolidation of financial data and provide insights for a key part of our Operations business. The position requires a motivated and agile system thinker who can demonstrate intellectual curiosity and navigate ambiguity and complexity. This includes executing month end reporting, ongoing forecasting, and being able to close financials in a timely and compliant manner.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or Finance work experience
    • OR Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
    • OR equivalent experience

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regular Finance Controllership support for key Microsoft Business Operations stakeholders in the Customer Lifecycle and Tele-sales environment.
  • Manage ongoing reporting needs around close, forecast, annual reporting ROB’s which includes being able to net out key themes and stories and articulate them in written and presentation formats.
  • Help build and maintain a living short- and long-range planning for the Operations Finance teams.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requirements around drivers of spend and how to best allocate resourcing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners across the Finance org who do like work to ensure synergies in approach to managing restatements, target transfers, etc.
  • Engage with Procurement team and help drive vendor optimization across the Ops organization footprint.
