We are seeking a strategic, execution‑oriented Senior Business Development manager to support new distribution strategies and strategic initiatives that scale Microsoft Copilot across partner ecosystems. This role focuses on building high‑impact partnerships with consumer apps, publishers, platforms, and web properties to increase engagement, drive monetization, and create clear value back to Copilot. This role requires applicant to work cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders to provide inputs, coordinate processes, and ensure operational excellence in partnership delivery. The ideal candidate brings a track record of navigating ambiguity and influencing stakeholders across diverse teams. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, operational rigor, and exceptional communication and program management skills.
The Business Development team at Microsoft is responsible for accelerating the company’s growth through the identification and execution of inorganic growth strategies including complex strategic partners, investments, and acquisitions.

Responsibilities
Strategy Development - Contribute to new distribution models and strategic initiatives by providing insights and executing actionable workstreams.
Partnership Development - Identify opportunities, map target partners, and manage day‑to‑day execution through deal qualification, negotiation support, and relationship management.
Market & Competitive Insights - Gather and synthesize partner feedback and market intelligence to inform Copilot’s positioning and guide decision‑making in dynamic market environments.
Operational Excellence - Lead reporting, QBR preparation, and post‑deal governance; ensure execution plans are communicated, tracked, and continuously optimized across a portfolio of deals
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Sciences, or related field AND 5+ years relevant work experience (e.g., investment banking, consulting, finance, marketing, corporate strategy, sales, venture capital, legal, business development, product management, project management, software development, or related field)
OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in business development, platform partnerships, or GTM leadership in consumer technology

Business Development IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
