Overview

The Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team for Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) drives the development and execution of the commercial strategy and field operating model for Microsoft’s customer and partner facing organization. SE&O works to simplify and optimize our operating model and develop strategies to empower the most productive and trusted commercial business on the planet. This includes how the organization benefits customers and partners, enabling MCAPS to support them more effectively, efficiently, and with differentiation.

As a Business Program Management Specialist in The Netherlands you will be directly accountable for driving Business Planning supporting growth ambition of Microsoft in the country. You will join a team focused on driving excellence for cross-business execution performance, planning, and sales operations. The team helps scale execution, operationalize business & sales programs, drive business, sales, and partner transformation that accelerate Microsoft’s business objectives locally.

This opportunity will allow you to partner across segment and subsidiary leadership, corporate and regional teams and local sales teams to manage Commercial Planning, drive business performance insights, and land Microsoft’s standardized sales process. Responsibilities

Business Operations

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and teams to supervise the creation and implementation of execution plans. Leads and oversees processes to ensure alignment across groups.
  • Clearly communicates plans and mutual commitments across stakeholders, reviews process execution and performance to ensure results align with business priorities and scorecards.
  • Sets effective practices for execution of strategies defined by leadership by leveraging consolidated information and advocating for and presenting clear business cases to the leader and business partners.
  • Contributes to organizational design conversations and facilitates successful implementation of organizational plans and strategies (e.g., translates high-level strategic plans into concrete execution).
  • Establishes key indicators of success in alignment with strategy to help streamline business strategy execution. Works within the organization to report against and adjust targets if necessary.
  • Oversees corporate governance and performance management by providing insight and guidance on prioritizing and monitoring appropriate indicators, communicating progress to senior leadership, and evangelizing effective practices from the top levels of the company.

Business Program Excellence and Execution

  • Shares expertise to evangelize highly complex programs to stakeholders, partners, and customers to gain buy in.
  • Leverages data and performance metrics (e.g., OKRs and KPIs) to demonstrate the value of the program and show business impact through storytelling and using scorecards and realtime dashboards.
  • Shares best practices to define and execute on a landing and communication plan (e.g., target audience(s), communication strategy) informed by Microsoft's security principles.
  • Leads the rhythm of business (ROB) during plan execution to ensure participants and stakeholders are communicating and responding according to the necessary cadence.
  • Leads others to work across teams (e.g., Landing, Design, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Technical Program Management) to ensure all program requirements are understood and can be met.

Business Program Planning and Design

  • Leads others who work with cross-functional (e.g., organizational, product, business) stakeholders (e.g., Engineering) to design highly complex security-, privacy-, and other regulatorily-compliant programs from initiation to delivery, independently.
  • Provides expertise to produce collateral (e.g., proposals, strategy walking deck, internal and external pitch content) to incorporate stakeholder needs and ensure the business objectives are met.
  • Leads the defining and tracking of success criteria (e.g., return on investment [ROI], service level agreements [SLAs], objectives and key results [OKRs] and key performance indicators [KPIs]) and performance metrics (e.g., quality, adoption, usage, impact, effectiveness) for the program, and identifying which data will result in data-driven decision making.

Organizational Health

  • Supports and enables a healthy scorecard for the team/organization and promotes and influences culture initiatives aligned to defined People Strategy, connecting leaders and teams to One Microsoft Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) plan resources and guidance.
  • Partners with Human Resources (HR), leader, and business management community on best ways to apply company guidance, accelerate progress related to culture and inclusion, define communications and action plans for the organization in response to employee signals.
  • Capitalizes on team strengths and identifies development areas. Tracks the use of role-based compliance trainings and new trainings (e.g., security). Drives the training completion rates. As needed, may plan and execute on trainings and/or programs.

Special Project/Programs and Initiatives

  • Drives cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and to manage complex business needs.
  • Engages in project management or may act as a project/program manager to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple functional disciplines and business organizations.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND several years of experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.
  • Considerable problem-solving skills and advanced knowledge of business program management and operational processes.
  • Ability to influence, and lead and manage global teams and programs.
  • Ability to collaborate across team – flexibility, proactiveness, teamwork, and ability to effectively communicate with all levels and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bias for Action and Results - takes ownership and drives projects forward independently – a “go-getter” who can identify what needs to be done and rally others to execute.
  • High capacity for multitasking, context switching, able to manage multiple, high-stakes projects simultaneously under deadline constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize the complex - able to take multiple, complicated, disparate inputs and transform it into simple, clear, succinct actions and initiatives.
