As General Manager of Partner Incentive Design, you will lead the strategy and execution of Microsoft’s global partner programmatic incentive programs, shaping how partners engage, grow, and succeed across our three key solution areas: Cloud & AI, AI Business Solutions & Security.
This is a senior executive role with broad accountability for a significant incentive envelope, influencing Microsoft’s commercial priorities and partner experience worldwide. You will work at the intersection of business strategy, data-driven decision-making, and partner engagement—leading transformative initiatives that accelerate growth in cloud and digital solutions to serve customers across all industries and geographies.
Responsibilities
- Guide annual planning for partner incentives aligned to Microsoft’s strategic direction and commercial priorities.
- Maintain governance and accountability for a multi-billion dollar incentive envelope, ensuring transparency and compliance.
- Ensure partner utilisation and compliance with incentive programmes to maximise impact and drive partner success.
- Design and optimise incentive frameworks that drive partner performance, profitability, and customer outcomes.
- Champion innovation in incentive design by leveraging data, AI, and automation to enhance partner experience and operational efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional engagement with Finance, Marketing, Engineering, and Field Sales to ensure seamless execution and governance.
- Represent Microsoft externally with partners and industry stakeholders, articulating the vision and value of our incentive strategy.
- Manage and develop a high-performing global team, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and impact.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
- 10+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.
- 5+ years people management experience.
- Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 12+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 14+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience with an emphasis on large scope projects partnering with senior leadership OR equivalent experience.
Sales Strategy Enablement M7 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $203,200 - $328,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $224,800 - $361,200 per year.
