The Customer Experience and Success (CE&S) organisation exists to help customers realise business value faster through differentiated customer experiences powered by Microsoft technology. Our people play a central role in delivering these outcomes by guiding organisations through complex cloud transformation journeys.

As a CE&S Cloud and AI Solution Architect specialising in Infrastructure, you will support the technical relationship between Microsoft and your customers, helping them adopt Microsoft Azure infrastructure services in a secure, scalable, and effective way. You will contribute to architecture design, modernisation activities, hybrid cloud adoption, and operational optimisation under the guidance of senior technical leaders.

This role is ideal for someone early in their cloud architecture career who enjoys hands‑on technology, learning from senior Cloud and AI Solution Architects, and building confidence in customer‑facing delivery. You will work on meaningful Azure Infrastructure workloads across Australia and New Zealand while developing deeper technical and consulting capability over time.

You will be supported by a team of like‑minded peers who will help you grow your technical depth and deliver innovative Azure solutions for major retailers and public sector organisations.

This role can be based in either Brisbane or Sydney.

Infrastructure Architecture Support & Delivery

• Support design and implementation of Microsoft Azure Infrastructure solutions across compute, networking, storage, identity, and hybrid connectivity.
• Assist in modernising on‑premises systems, migrating workloads, configuring hybrid architectures, and improving operational readiness.
• Apply “well‑architected” principles to ensure foundational security, reliability, cost optimisation and performance.
• Work closely with senior Cloud and AI Solution Architects to validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure delivery quality.

Technical Learning, Depth, and Contribution

• Build foundational expertise in:
• Microsoft Azure Infrastructure‑as‑a‑Service
• Identity and access management with Microsoft Entra ID
• Virtual networks, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity
• Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity
• Automation, monitoring, and governance basics
• Complete priority technical certifications and develop proficiency across selected Infrastructure workloads.
• Contribute to shared learning by capturing insights, documenting approaches, and participating in community knowledge‑sharing.

Customer and Partner Interaction

• Support customer conversations by gathering requirements, preparing technical materials, and contributing to and delivering solution recommendations.
• Assist senior Cloud and AI Solution Architects in delivering architecture sessions, troubleshooting challenges, and guiding customers through early adoption steps.
• Collaborate with partner organisations on implementation activities, under direction from senior technical leads.
  
  

Operational Excellence

• Practice consistent documentation hygiene, delivery tracking, and adherence to Microsoft methodologies.
• Participate in internal learning communities, readiness programs, and technical enablement activities.
• Reflect customer feedback and insights back into internal engineering and support channels.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND at least 2 years of experience in:
• Cloud or Infrastructure technologies,
• Information technology consulting or support,
• Systems administration,
• Network operations,
• Software development or support,
• Technical solution delivery or architecture.
  OR equivalent experience without a formal degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience supporting cloud or hybrid infrastructure implementations, including basic design, configuration, or troubleshooting.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or other cloud environments.
• Understanding of networking, operating systems, identity, and security fundamentals.
• Demonstrated client-facing communication skills with the desire to grow into customer‑facing architectural leadership.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn from senior Cloud Solution Architects.
• Ability to organise work, follow guidance, and contribute to well‑structured delivery.
