Our team is looking for a sales programs manager to join our Worldwide Services Sales Strategy and Go to Market organization to design, manage and execute our sales programs.
The Sales Program Manager plays a critical position responsible for managing, facilitating and streamlining our sales programs and execution, designing measures of impact and creating a ‘picture of success’ for all teams to execute against. Spanning organization rhythm of business orchestration to supporting Go to market strategy and enablement, and guiding leadership with actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, professional services, business program management and analytics, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to lead through influence in a global matrix organization.

Responsibilities
Business Program Strategy, Planning and Design
You will design the core strategy of programs end to end in alignment with Business architecture team, Commercial Solution Area program managers, Area/OU SE&O Services Sales GTM leaders and across Microsoft, this includes:
- Design, execute and continuously improve programs that accelerate sales pipeline and drive target attainment for your assigned target area's revenue
- Align programs with the over-arching Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, as defined by the business architecture strategy lead for each respective solution play/workload. Identify themes and trends from programs results to inform strategy, investments, asks and correction plans.
- Design programs in the way to achieve Enhanced Solutions and Consulting revenue. Own sales programs impact and revenue contribution.
- Identify and scope opportunities to develop new programs and improve current ones impacting the broader unit. Leads the identification and resolution of root problems (e.g., root-cause analysis) and the definition of the program strategy. Gather program requirements, identify resource needs, create the project plan and targets, and works across teams to align on the plan of record. Improve the operations of existing programs by applying industry methodology, defining highly complex program issues, assessing various scenarios, and selecting the optimal scenario to resolve issues. Drive clarity in highly complex program issues and strives for simplification.
- Able to work independently, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, negotiate and collaborate effectively
- Contribute to the discipline of program management by driving innovation and improvements and raising the bar on what a sales program can deliver
- Manage and cultivate relationships to effectively collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Field Sales, Field Go to Market Managers, Customer Success and Industry Solutions Delivery) for holistic field program management. This includes expertise to produce collateral (e.g., proposals, strategy walking deck, internal and external pitch content) to incorporate stakeholder needs and ensure the business objectives are met.
- Build relationships with senior leadership executives (e.g., Directors, General Manager [GM] level, CVP) and advise senior leadership as a domain expert to inform planning decisions.
Business Program Excellence and Execution
- Build strong analytics framework and feedback loop to drive continuous improvement on programs and portfolio
- Collaborate with business, platform, and tools experts to provide updates and report key metrics needed to assist sales and partner teams to drive the sales business forward.
- Collaborate with global field sales experts, sales enablement, operations, and sales leaders to implement programs that drive desired results.
- Lead the definition and tracking of success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]), such as closed opportunities, adoption, usage, impact, and effectiveness for the program.

Business Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
