Microsoft Security Solution Sales team is looking for experienced and passionate Security Solution Engineer.
Security Solution Engineer proactively identifies and engages with key customer technical decision makers and influencers while engaging sales team and helping lead sales strategy. Uses knowledge of customer context, and deep technical, domain, and industry knowledge to build credibility with customers. Leads and ensures complex technical wins. Leverages knowledge of resources. Scales wins through partner in a sell-with environment by promoting the partner within the Microsoft ecosystem. Supports partner technical capacity by monitoring and analyzing resources through interactions, communicating with managers, and identifying new partnership opportunities to build subsidiary strategy. Builds competitive knowledge, documents compete patterns, and shares within the community to drive change and escalations for competitive selling strategies. Proactively develops strategic cross-workload/subsidiary and account level responses to specific market threats by identifying market patterns and delivering feedback to business group on trends and needs.
Responsibilities
Build Strategy
Develops and shares competitive insights to strengthen selling strategies, influence product teams, and act as a subject matter expert. Partners with account and marketing teams to shape win plans tailored to local markets, leveraging Microsoft offerings and market trends. Builds consumption plans where needed and provides strategic responses to market threats through pattern identification and feedback to business groups.
Scale Customer Engagements
Uses deep technical and industry knowledge to engage customer decision makers and advise sales strategy. Coordinates resources to unblock technical issues, ensuring alignment with future industry standards. Leads complex technical wins by defining engagement rules, coaching teams, and using key programs (e.g., FastTrack, ECIF).
Solution Design and Proof
Leads and oversees demos, design sessions, POCs, and pilots across multiple products to prove solution value and competitive differentiation. Adapts architectures for complex requirements, creates reusable assets, and applies advanced sales methodologies to guide customers through digital transformation and evolving technologies.
Education
Creates readiness plans, identifies learning gaps, and provides insights to corporate and product groups. Acts as a technical thought leader by sharing best practices, delivering content at Microsoft events, and supporting broader solution understanding. Leads internal tech communities, drives engagement activities, and mentors peers.
Leverage Partner Ecosystem
Accelerates wins through partner collaboration, promoting partners within Microsoft and building deep relationships. Strengthens partner technical capacity by monitoring resources, engaging managers, and identifying partnership opportunities aligned with subsidiary strategy.
Qualifications
