The Microsoft Global Media Team is responsible for planning, activating and fiscally managing all media spend across Microsoft. The team works across a broad group of internal Microsoft products and business groups, driving business impact by leading the development of innovative and world-class media strategies designed to meet our stakeholders’ unique business goals. The team’s responsibilities extend to driving market intelligence and contributing to Microsoft’s media innovation across media channels and ad tech.

We’re building a Frontier Marketing organization that delivers integrated strategic end-to-end planning, execution, optimization and measurement across our paid and organic demand engines supporting Microsoft's Customer Solution Areas. To support this transformation, we are seeking a Sr. Paid Media Activation Manager who will be supporting and managing Microsoft’s in-house, quick turn, paid media campaign activation. Do you have strong experience with paid social planning and hands-on activation, paid social reporting and insights, and have you managed in-house operations?
In this role, you will lead in-house paid media strategy, planning and hands-on campaign execution, with a heavy focus on paid social. The ideal candidate has deep expertise across the digital media landscape (especially digital performance media), a strong growth mindset, can adapt to change, and is eager to innovate at the intersection of media, data, and technology.
Responsibilities
Helping build Microsoft Global Media’s in-house paid media planning, activation and operations.
Collaborating with the Paid Media Director, Channel Specialists, Analytics, Digital Brand Safety, Finance Operations, and our platform and ad tech partners to ensure strategic & compliant activations.
Developing paid media plans that deliver on required business outcomes and overseeing the hands-on execution, optimization, and reporting of these campaigns across media channels, ad creative, and audience segments.
Leading continual paid media operations and process improvements to ensure Microsoft’s in-house media activation remains agile and consistently delivers on the required business outcomes and campaign KPIs.
Actively monitoring campaigns for optimization opportunities across platforms, creative sets, audience segments, and bidding strategies.
Diving deep into analytics to identify trends and learnings across audiences, placements, channels, ad sets/variants, and any additional variables that could impact campaign performance.
Providing agile, responsive, collaborative, and transparent communications with internal and external business partners to ensure campaigns remain agile while delivering on the required business outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
5-7 years of hands-on-keys paid social activation experience, preferably within an agency environment
Thorough understanding of how to use native platform audience planning tools & suite of ad products including: Meta, X, Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest, and TikTok
Consistent track record of strong external partner and internal team relationships and communications
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
Advanced Excel skills, including but not limited to Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, etc. are a plus
Appetite for working in a dynamic, changing environment across many different teams and audience segments
Sprinklr experience a plus
Preferred Qualifications
College BA/BS or equivalent professional experience
Experience working in B2B Marketing and/or Media.
Proven competency working across diverse teams with varied business goals.
Able to work across a highly matrixed organization that includes internal and external stakeholders and partners.
Able to deal with ambiguity and continued change.
Strong communication skills.
Believes that success is a shared accountability across the whole team
Experience using Microsoft technology and devices.
Ability to be agile and work in a dynamic environment.
Media IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
