The Asia Office of the CTO (OCTO) Redmond team accelerates Microsoft’s business success across Asia by driving engineering initiatives and addressing the region’s most important technical challenges. We partner directly with product groups, field leadership, and customers to ensure that Asia’s needs are clearly understood, prioritized, and rapidly unblocked.

We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Technical Program Manager with deep technical expertise and strong connective tissue across Azure engineering teams, including Azure Core/Infra, Security, AI, and Modern Work. You will act as the Redmond‑based advocate for Asia customers—knowing how to navigate Microsoft’s engineering ecosystem, identifying the right teams for the right problems, and translating customer requirements into actionable engineering priorities. You will drive alignment across teams to rapidly unblock critical customer and field scenarios.

Responsibilities
  • Champion Asia customer and field requirements with Microsoft engineering teams, ensuring they are visible, prioritized, and addressed effectively.

  • Leverage strong working relationships across Azure engineering (Azure Core, Infrastructure, Security, Azure AI, and Modern Work) to route issues to the correct teams and accelerate resolution.

  • Build and maintain a broad technical understanding of Microsoft’s cloud and productivity stack, including Azure Core/Infra, Security, Azure AI, GPU infrastructure, and Modern Work services, applying this knowledge to diagnose complex, cross‑service customer issues.

  • Act as a connector across engineering organizations—understanding ownership boundaries, dependencies, and escalation paths to efficiently unblock scenarios.

  • Partner directly with Azure Engineering teams to provide structured, high‑quality customer and field feedback and collaborate on issue resolution.

  • Work across product teams to coordinate platform improvements, identify systemic gaps, and ensure end‑to‑end scenario readiness.

  • Deliver clear, concise briefings and technical guidance to customers, sales teams, and field leaders across Asia to accelerate adoption of Microsoft AI, Cloud, and Modern Work solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with MCAPS Asia sales organizations and customers to understand priority needs and ensure appropriate engineering engagement, occasionally participating in meetings aligned to Asia time zones.

1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Broad, cross‑domain technical expertise spanning cloud infrastructure, security, AI, and productivity platforms.

5+ years of experience as a Technical PM, Customer PM, Developer, or Architect, with exposure to Cloud, Security, AI, or Data technologies.

Hands‑on experience with Azure Cloud, Azure Core/Infrastructure, Security, Azure OpenAI, and/or Modern Work technologies.
