Overview

The Enterprise Partner Solution (EPS) organization is accountable for the enterprise commercial partner business at Microsoft with the mission to build and sell Microsoft Cloud and AI Solutions with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more. The Global Partner CSA & Marketing organization is where the Enterprise Global Partner Marketing teams sit, enabling assigned managed partners to define and execute Go-To-Market strategies to accelerate Microsoft Cloud and AI business growth and customer outcomes.

As a Senior Global Partner Marketing Manager, Global Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), you will be responsible for activating and leading the execution of Enterprise partners (Software Development Companies/Global ISVs) Partner Marketing strategy at a global level, collaborating with partners to generate demand, accelerate pipeline, and ultimately drive revenue-generating impact. This opportunity will allow you to collaborate with top globally managed partners who provide leading solutions aligned to the Azure Infrastructure “Migrate & Modernize” solution play priority.

You will work with sales, engineering, and marketing leaders to develop a joint end-to-end go-to-market motion with a focus on the marketing plan, aligning with corporate and sales teams worldwide on strategies, resources, and execution. You will develop and land comprehensive marketing plans that align with business objectives and target markets, leveraging best practices, tools, and resources from Microsoft and through-partner. This includes defining the marketing strategy, campaign development and measurement, solution launch plans, “better together” messaging, demand generation initiatives, pipeline acceleration activities, joint Public Relations, and event marketing.

You will ensure effective execution of partner marketing plans, maximizing the usage of investments, providing insights and adjusting the execution plan to target business goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). You will also build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate for partners that will grow your marketing skills, business acumen, and industry knowledge, while contributing to the success of your team and Microsoft.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall marketing strategy definition, review, and end-to-end execution including campaign development and solution launch plans aligned to partner solutions built for Microsoft cloud.
  • Understand partner’s business, plans, and objectives in partnership with global and field Partner Manager personnel and ensure alignment of GTM activities and marketing plans to deliver tangible impact and progress against those goals.
  • Lead creation of ‘better together’ messaging, demand gen campaigns, event marketing, and end-to-end GTM win formulas that connect marketing and sales tactics.
  • Ensure KPIs and Goals are in place to track impact to sales pipeline, Microsoft Cloud revenue generated from joint solutions’ sales, campaigns, or offers brought to market. Ensure good budget management practices and high ROI for all marketing funds invested.
  • Leverage global investments to contribute to globally scalable partner marketing best practices to optimize Global Independent Software Vendors (GISV) partner’s impact at the Microsoft subsidiary level, including working with the subsidiary Partner Marketing Managers at the partners to drive alignment on execution.
  • Leverage AI, technical, and industry expertise to become a thought leader and trusted advisor to your partner.
  • Land and lead the creation of new capabilities, GTM maturity, and opportunities through partner experiences to help provide a competitive advantage and to land key co-marketing initiatives with and through the partner.
  • Contribute to a thriving team of “frontier” partner marketers who embrace AI to build and implement new marketing strategies and execution tactics.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 5+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a customer and/or partner facing role, optimally dealing with a variety of audiences – customers, partners (ISV, Systems Integrators (SI), start-ups, Managed Service Providers (MSPs)), strategy, marketing, or business development

  • 3+ years working directly with partner ecosystem, the ability to provide valuable business and technical guidance to them and to secure their commitment to use business solutions

  • Technical understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies and the work that partners do to develop, build-upon, and extend cloud solutions

  • Product Management and/or audience marketing experience, including modern marketing practices, and advanced skills at writing marketing materials, value propositions, and messaging

  • Ability to articulate both business and technical value of Microsoft cloud services to business and technical decision makers

  • Demonstrated track record of creating repeatable best practices on demand generation and awareness campaigns, workshops, metrics, and sales readiness

  • Passionate, results-driven, and organized approach; with an attention to detail: A self-starter who can create and deliver scalable plans from concept to delivery, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, effectively driving to measurable results.

  • The ability to work cross-team in ambiguous and changing environments, along with excellent listening and partnering skills. Must be comfortable working in a highly-matrixed environment, and leading program v-teams or workstreams aligned to shared goals and measures.

  • Engagement Proficiency: Storytelling skills and passion for delighting partners, advocating on their behalf, creating great partner experiences, and understanding the linkage between these experiences and business success

  • Brings demonstrated experience proposing, creating, and managing executive-level proposals and presentations

  • Executive Relations: The ability to interact confidently with leadership in a highly-matrixed organization to present/defend/clarify concerns or issues regarding an existing project, program, or solution. This includes the ability to confidently address difficult questions, handle pushback from a high-level audience, and maintain an executive demeanour while engaging in challenging or sometimes high-pressure situations



Partner Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
