As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for product development from concept to mass production for Surface devices. You will work with Program Manger peers, Product Management, Tier 1 and 1.5 suppliers, Hardware and Software developers, Industrial Design, Quality and Manufacturing teams to align objectives, create product specifications, implement a plan, and ultimately deliver a high-quality product. You will be accountable for the relationship with development partners as the main point of contact for program delivery. This role is based in Redmond, Washington.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management and key internal stakeholders in the definition of product features and translate these into product design requirements for Tier 1 supplier partners that meet product cost, investment and schedule goals.
- Lead through ambiguity; translate ideas and conflicting inputs into clear requirements and high-fidelity program plans.
- Lead through influence; align a core team of engineering, design, quality, finance, manufacturing and other stakeholders by building trust and shared ownership to drive program definition and predictable execution.
- Leverage Tier 1 and 1.5 suppliers for product hardware design and validation phase build execution. Negotiate program schedules and total program investment in partnership with internal teams.
- Drive the execution of your program plan. Anticipate risks; assess, mitigate, and manage accordingly. Identify conflicts and lead the cross functional team to a healthy closure. Organize and present program reviews/status to leadership team on a weekly cadence.
- Lead the Touch and Display subsystem to drive cross-functional integration, and deliver high-quality user experiences.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience creating functional specifications, project schedules, and execution plans to drive complex programs from concept through delivery
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: device design and system integration; partner‑leveraged product development; mechanical, electrical, or software design of consumer electronics; or PC architecture.
- 5+ years of experience managing large, cross‑functional programs across engineering, product, and partner teams.
- 8+ years of experience delivering display or touch subsystem technologies for consumer devices.
- Strong engineering background with experience building and shipping hardware products.
- Demonstrated ability to drive program outcomes through rigorous planning, structured execution, and proactive issue resolution.
- Proven leadership and analytical skills, with a flexible, solution‑oriented mindset and ability to independently identify gaps and drive progress.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
