Overview

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) with deep expertise across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, AI workloads, data governance, and modern analytics architectures, combined with strong experience integrating third‑party platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and SAP.

This role provides end‑to‑end technical leadership for enterprise customers as they modernize their analytics, unify distributed data estates, and accelerate value through AI‑driven insights. The ideal candidate understands hybrid and multi‑ecosystem realities and can define pragmatic architectures bridging Microsoft and non‑Microsoft platforms.

Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Customer Engagement

  • Act as the primary technical advisor for enterprise customers, shaping long-term strategy for data modernization, analytics, and AI adoption.
  • Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, architects, and data leaders to guide cloud, governance, and integration decisions.
  • Drive clarity in complex, multi‑vendor environments.

2. End‑to‑End Solution Architecture

  • Design scalable, secure, AI‑ready architectures using Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence), and Purview.
  • Integrate external data and analytics platforms, including:
    • Databricks (Delta Lake ingestion, Unity Catalog integration, orchestration with Fabric pipelines)
    • Snowflake (data sharing, query federation patterns, ingestion via Fabric or ADF)
    • SAP systems (Operational Reporting, BW/4HANA, ECC/S4 via Azure Data Factory, ODP, or SAP CDC connectors)
  • Define multi-cloud and hybrid architectures enabling interoperability across ecosystems.
  • Ensure all solutions follow Secure-by-Design, Zero Trust, and enterprise‑grade governance principles.

3. Modernization, Migration & Analytics Enablement

  • Lead modernization journeys from legacy platforms (DB2, Oracle, IBM Cognos, PostgreSQL, AWS‑based analytics) to Azure and Fabric.
  • Drive ingestion strategies: batch, streaming, CDC, mirroring, SAP extraction, or event‑driven patterns.
  • Enable analytics on SAP by designing integration pipelines into Fabric Lakehouse or Azure Data Lake using SAP connectors, OData, ODP, or third‑party integration services.
  • Optimize compute and storage integration between Fabric and Databricks/Snowflake environments for analytical performance.

4. Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Implement Microsoft Purview for enterprise governance, lineage, access controls, classification, and policy enforcement across Microsoft + non‑Microsoft systems.
  • Design secure networking and identity strategies leveraging Private Link, Managed Private Endpoints, Workspace Identity, and Workload Identity Federation.
  • Ensure compliance with global and industry-specific regulations.

5. AI, Automation & Intelligence Integration

  • Integrate AI across data pipelines and analytics architectures using Azure ML, Cognitive Services, Fabric ML experiences, and Copilot extensibility.
  • Build end‑to‑end AI solutions using data from Databricks, Snowflake, SAP, and on‑prem sources.
  • Guide customers on responsible AI, scalable MLOps, and value‑driven experimentation (POCs/MVPs).

6. Skilling, Community & Reusability

  • Deliver workshops, hackathons, and technical enablement sessions covering Fabric, Data engineering, AI, and integrations with Databricks/Snowflake/SAP.
  • Share best practices, reference architectures, and reusable accelerators across internal and customer teams.
  • Mentor peers and elevate technical maturity across accounts.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Several years architecting enterprise data and analytics solutions in cloud environments.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with:
    • Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, RTI, Governance)
    • Azure Data Platform (ADF, Synapse, ADLS, Event Hub)
    • Databricks (Delta, Spark, Unity Catalog)
    • Snowflake (data sharing, pipelines, federation)
    • SAP integration for analytics (ODP, ECC/S4, BW, HANA)
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, CI/CD, and distributed compute systems.
  • Deep understanding of governance, identity, networking security and Zero Trust.
  • Proven experience leading large customer transformations and working in multi‑vendor ecosystems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of AI/ML architecture and MLOps practices
  • Experience with hybrid ingestion strategies (CDC, mirroring, streaming)
  • Familiarity with business‑critical migrations (finance, healthcare, manufacturing, public sector)
  • Ability to define architecture patterns for multi‑cloud interoperability
  • Ability to understand and use T-SQL , DAX, Py, Pyspark, KQL
