Overview

As a Technical Recruiter on the Early in Profession team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Microsoft’s future workforce by driving strategies to attract and hire top technical talent. This position requires creativity, data-driven decision-making and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while delivering top quality candidate experience.

You will partner closely with business leaders, hiring managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to design and execute recruiting plans that balance speed, quality, and compliance. From building strategic pipelines to influencing hiring decisions, this role requires advanced stakeholder management skills, technical recruiting expertise, and a passion for operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute strategic recruiting plans aligned with business priorities, balancing speed, quality, and volume in a high-demand environment.

  • Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to hiring managers and business stakeholders, guiding decisions through market insights and data while influencing outcomes with consultative recommendations.

  • Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines using market research, talent communities, and non-traditional sources; engage passive and active candidates through compelling Microsoft narratives.

  • Deliver top quality candidate experience by ensuring proactive communication, timely updates, and tailored closing strategies that secure top technical talent.

  • Leverage analytics and market trends to inform hiring plans, track funnel health, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

  • Apply compliance and operational excellence standards throughout the recruiting lifecycle, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring adherence to internal policies.

  • Utilize assessment tools and frameworks to evaluate candidates effectively, ensuring readiness for relocation, immigration, and compensation considerations.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
    • OR Master's Degree AND 6+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven success in high-volume technical recruiting and stakeholder management within a matrixed organization.

  • Ability to source and close niche AI & software talent leveraging advanced search strategies, technical communities, and evaluation to engage hardtoreach candidates.

  • Experience influencing and consulting across multiple stakeholder groups, including senior leaders, using data-driven insights and market intelligence

  • Experience with university/campus recruiting programs and engagement strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to innovate candidate experience strategies, leveraging creative engagement methods and storytelling

  • Proven ability to negotiate complex offers and craft closing strategies that balance candidate motivators with business priorities, ensuring competitive, equitable outcomes and high acceptance rates.



Talent Acquisition IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
