The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization, an organization within CE&S, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovation solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty.

The AI Experience Accelerator is a flagship Microsoft offering that applies co-creation and design thinking techniques to help customers ideate, validate, and commit to post sales AI roadmaps. We’re seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to embed deeper product and AI expertise into the Accelerator offering, strengthening connections to internal Microsoft programs that deliver POCs and post-sales solutions and ensure customers seamlessly move from ideation to deployment.

Responsibilities

Program & Product Fluency

  • Build deep expertise in the AI Experience Accelerator (design thinking methodology, customer journey, engagement model) and how it drives post sales AI commitments.

  • Stay current on Microsoft’s AI portfolio (platform updates, models, safety, agent/GPT innovations) and collaborate with researchers and designers to embed product expertise into delivery mechanism

  • Translate customer, field, leadership, and market signals into program level improvements (tooling, artifacts, workflows) that raise consistency and quality.

Cross Program Partnerships

  • Develop, nurture, and own partnerships with adjacent internal programs that feed into or depend on the Accelerator program; establish clear engagement models, rhythms, and workflows.

  • Establish dependency mapping and alignment across corporate and field motions; surface risks/blocks early and propose data driven mitigations.

  • Facilitate prioritization that optimizes customer impact, technical feasibility, and adoption goals.

Deployment Pathways & Handoff to Execution

  • Identify and connect field teams and customers to the right internal pathways (e.g., engineering POC engines, FastTrack motions, solution accelerators, partner-led delivery) based on scenario fit and readiness.

  • Codify repeatable patterns and handoff frameworks that streamline the transition from Accelerator program ideation to real-world deployment.

  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders (field and corp.) to ensure clarity on next steps, ownership, and measurable outcomes.

Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Own planning artifacts, OKRs, status, and stakeholder communications for existing internal partnerships.

  • Bring clarity to ambiguous spaces; define success metrics, decision logs, and escalation paths.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/technical program management, data analysis, design program management, or product development

    • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • Demonstrated technical fluency in cloud platforms, APIs, AI/ML concepts, or distributed systems; ability to engage deeply with Cloud Solution Atchitects

  • Experience turning complex signals into clear, actionable programs or product recommendations.

  • Proven written/verbal communication across technical and executive audiences; adept at simplifying complexity.

  • Track record of continuous learning in AI—able to absorb new capabilities and quickly reflect them in program guidance and artifacts.



Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
