In this role, the Senior Finance Manager - Security Revenue Planning will be in an area of great visibility and focus for Microsoft and provide an opportunity to drive great impact working on several strategic activities such as pricing & packaging, Long-Range Planning, promos, deal discount guidance, product portfolio strategy, partnerships and acquisitions. Responsibilities

Business focus for the role

  • Partner with business planning team, marketing, engineering and MCAPS to define business models across key workloads in Data Security & Compliance, Identity, Threat Protection to name a few. This individual will be required to build deep knowledge of the Security business and develop deep partnerships across the different business partner groups.

  • Long-range planning: Lead the development and update of the three- to five-year business forecast for new and existing products, evaluating risks and opportunities in close partnership with the rest of the team

  • Pricing & packaging: Partner with Marketing to determine the optimal pricing and packaging of new products to be rolled out into the commercial SKU line-up, either as a separate standalone offer or as part of a suite

  • Deals/Investment Decision support: Conduct ad-hoc analyses and frame business cases for strategic partnerships and acquisitions



Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous environments
  • Able to identify improvement areas for customers
  • Demonstrated communication skills both written and verbal and ability to communicate wiith all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated cross functional collaboration skills.
  • Deep analytic skills and the ability to summarize perofrmance and key insights from the data at an excecutive leadership level.
  • Prior Revenue Planning and Cybersecurity experience preferred, though not required



Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
