We are seeking a passionate and experienced Principal Technical Program Manager for the Microsoft Teams Calling, Meeting, and Devices group to help us achieve our goals. In this role, you will be responsible for driving strategic programs through planning, development, and release cycles. You will work closely with product and engineering teams, as well as collaborate with partner teams across Microsoft. Your ability to work collaboratively will be critical to the success of this role. Additionally, you should have a bias for seamless execution while driving operational excellence through continuous improvements.
This role can be based out of the Microsoft Vancouver, Canada office.

Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with product, design, art and engineering teams to understand program requirements, goals, and priorities.
Develop and execute comprehensive plans for complex cross functional programs, dependencies, and timelines, to ensure successful program delivery.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, designers, and partners, to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
Identify potential risks and issues and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, key milestones, and any changes in scope.
Work closely with Product & Engineering teams, Release Managers and Technical Program Managers to align release activities across the portfolio.
Seeks opportunities improves and automates processes to achieve scaled operations - planning, execution, releases, dependencies, and change management.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
- 6+ years experience improving product development lifecycle for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
- PMP Certification or equivalent industry experience Technical knowledge of Calling, Meeting, Devices systems, tech stack, and processes
- Program/Project Management - Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects from initiation to completion, including risk assessment and mitigation.
- Communications - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying potential roadblocks and finding creative solutions.
- Stakeholder Management - Skilled in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed.
- Knowledge of software/product development life cycle including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $142,400 - CAD $257,500 per year.
